Navajoland Inn appears to be run by Natives, as is appropriate for the location. They were all very friendly and kind to me, a white woman, during my prolonged stay there due to work on their Land. I felt genuinely cared for and safe while there. Rose, in the breakfast area, was a ray of sunshine. The manager and front desk staff were all quick to respond and accommodating for any requests or concerns. The security team was always out and about walking around the property no matter what time I had to take my service dog out. The beds were a little lumpy in places, but overall sleep-able. (I changed rooms a few times due to leaving on trips, etc.) The rooms were basic and worn in places, as expected for a hotel in the middle of nowhere almost. I mean, it's not the Vegas Strip or NYC! But they were generally clean, and the cleaning staff seemed to work hard to keep them so. The pool area was a nice indoor, warm retreat, although the pool was cloudy during most of my stay so I never used it. There is a decent workout room, but I preferred to hike outdoors. The laundry machines could use updating/replacing while I was there as there was never more than 1 dryer working. Overall, I would stay there again if back in the...
Read moreI was sent up (by the state of Arizona) to your location recently (13-15 Aug 25) to work the Code Talker Stand Down Event. The room was FABULOUS!!! Being retired military I have stayed at plenty of hotels, motels and inns. Your place had the best pillows and bed combination that I have ever had. I had a king size bed that wasn't too soft or too firm. It was just right. The pillows were perfect too. The room had three pillows which I thought was odd but I enjoyed them so I am not worried at all. The room was so peaceful and quiet, rm 245. Usually you hear your neighbors or slamming doors or people outside the room. I didn't hear anything, nice and quiet. As for the front desk, all the young ladies. They were so nice, professional and courteous. Again, unlike other places I have stayed. I did shop the gift shop which had nice well priced items so I bought a few. Overall it was a very nice experience at your place. I hope they send me up there again. Thank you so much for providing a very nice place to stay. I hope to...
Read moreThe motel is a tad on the older side. The room I stayed in was a newly remodeled room, the strong smell of fresh paint and glue was present when I entered the room. The beds were super comfy. It’s pretty quiet. Check in and out was a breeze. Also there is no alcohol on the Navajo Nation, I saw a few guest while I was staying there getting upset with the dark clerks. You will need to go to Gallup for alcohol which is 30 miles away. There’s a Denny’s right next door. Other restaurants are about a 5 min drive east from the hotel. Gallup is about a 30 min drive away, which is a bigger city with many more options to eat and shop. There is still a mask mandate in effect on the Navajo Nation. With that many amenities the motel offers aren’t being offered at this time. All up to date information is posted all around the entrance of the motel. There internet has vastly improved since the last time I...
