Ash River Campground — Hotel in Fort Frances

Small campground with limited sites and tons of mosquitos. I didn’t want to believe the other reviews about the mosquitos but please do not take them lightly and heed their warning. They are relentless. We were going to stay for two nights but left early because we were covered in welts from the bugs. Spent 3 nights there last half June. Large RV’s left for at least 3 days with no occupants. Apparently that’s how you reserve a site? Meanwhile travelers coming in have no place to stay. Generators running all night....

My husband and his parents just arrived back from staying here for the weekend. IT IS RUSTICyet close to the cabins other family members were staying at. All in all they had an enjoyable time..thank you for being so close...
