Can’t rate no stars … Good Sam should not even list this park ! First, when I pulled in, the place was packed. No one to greet you in the Guard Station or tell you where the office is located. So, we pull in and double park across from what appears to be a restaurant/bar. I asked a waitress in the outside bar area where the office was located. She pointed to a door, so I walked in. The lady at the counter did not have a clue about anything. Believe me, I feel sorry for older individuals who have to work, also realize that there are many new individuals in the workforce. She finally found our reservation, showed me a map and circled several sites all of which were not the correct one. Someone beside her said it's right next to the restaurant. I asked if it was a pull thru, she had a blank look in her face, never answered, so I asked if I'm needed to unhook the toad right where I was located. Again, a blank look with an "I guess so"||||So, we unhooked and proceeded to the site. There were 3 vehicles parked on the site that I just paid for. One was a service van, so I told the guy that I was sorry, but he was in my spot. He said ok, just let me unload. So, I walked back in to the not clearly marked "office " and told the lady that there were 3 vehicles parked in my site. She said "it's probably the restaurant, just go over there and tell them". I said, you want ME to tell them that their patrons are in my spot ? Another lady finally spoke up and told the other lady to go over and ask them to move the vehicles.||||So, after the vehicles moved the site is only about 20 feet deep and the front of the Coach would stick out in the roadway. So, I pulled in lengthwise. We hooked up, ran the sides out and decided we would go somewhere for dinner rather than cook. As we were leaving a French Canadian woman was waving her hands at me so I went over to see what was wrong ? She started complaining that I was 2-3 feet over on her site and we moved her picnic table and now due to Covid she had to disinfect it. (I should have said we can't get into your country so why are you in mine?) I patiently explained to her that no one at the desk had a clue or told me anything. I also told her that there was a concrete walk way if I did not pull up I would have blocked it for the worker to unload his van. She then told me that I should have parked lengthwise, to which I explained to her that I would stick out in the roadway OR I could back in further, but I would be in their grass, which many campgrounds will not tolerate. I told her that I really did not want to move it because the slide was out, jacks down & level and we were all hooked up. I told her that we would be out first thing next morning and she said she would ask her husband. (Obviously, he did not care, because he sent her back out and said it was ok for just the one night. )||||So, this is a Good Sam Campground and I also review on trip advisor. Can't wait till I have a decent internet connection and I will really give this place the poor review that they generously deserve.||||As an update .... when we came back from dinner a big F250 was parked on my site. I took a photo and will include that along with a request for a partial refund since I had to share my site that I paid for with the restaurant parking most of our one night stay. I had to park along the lake and wait so that I could park MY Car on MY SITE that I paid for ...... Never again !||||Amenities : No cable, OTA TV nonexistent, WiFi was a joke. Used nothing else, just one night, left at 7:30 AM due to the nasty French lady as noted above and the incompetent staff. Did not sleep because all the vehicles using our site for their restaurant parking area banging car doors...
Read moreWe sold our house in West Palm Beach and relocated to Vero Beach for work, choosing to stay in our RV at this park while awaiting our new home to be built. Initially, we were excited, but the management at this park turned out to be a nightmare.||||Despite the reasonable and straightforward rules, we faced constant harassment. We have two dogs that we walk multiple times a day. There are no trash cans or doggy bags on the property except in the dog park, so we took the initiative to buy an outdoor trash can and a bulk supply of dog waste bags to ensure we cleaned up after our pets. Yet, we received weekly notices accusing us of not cleaning up after our dogs. Each time I went to the main office to discuss these notices, I was told to “just ignore it” as it was likely a “pesty neighbor.”||||Additionally, when family visited us for the day and parked at our RV slot, we received notices about parking violations. After discussing this with the office, we were advised to have our visitors park in the lot by the restaurant, which we did. Despite this, we continued to receive notices for various infractions, such as improper water hookup and not stopping completely in the neighborhood. This felt like borderline harassment.||||As responsible adults who strive to follow regulations, we were perplexed and frustrated by these continuous and unfounded accusations. Each time we sought clarification from the office, they dismissed our concerns, blaming "nosey neighbors" and suggesting neighborly disputes were at play. Ultimately, we were given a 30-day notice to vacate the property.||||This experience is particularly disappointing because we had suggested this park for our upcoming family reunion, which would have brought 47 rentals for a week. Now, I can't wait to leave this place.||||For anyone considering a short-term stay, this park may suffice. However, I strongly advise against bringing pets unless you want to be harassed and falsely accused. For those seeking a long-term rental, avoid this park at all costs, as you will face weekly harassment.||||Furthermore, we had several packages confirmed as delivered to the “receptionist/front desk,” which mysteriously went missing, apparently mishandled by the staff.||||Our initial excitement to be part of the Road Runner community has completely dissipated. I am eager to leave and will never return. I do not recommend this park and will be warning...
