The campground is pretty easy to get to even in a sedan. When you go around the corner there’s a handful of small-medium sized sites with a fire ring and table. There was lots of trails down to the river to fish or boat, but I never caught anything. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and there was a dumpster on site. Despite that, there was still trash all over the place. Lots of visitors come through and many don’t follow camp etiquete. Noisy till midnight, leave trash all over the place, let their bad dogs run wild, cut down trees for firewood. The list goes on. Read moreThis is absolutely our favorite place to camp in Arizona! The river is a short walk away with alcoves that are great for wading or fishing. The general store up the road is a little spendy but worth the money when you're in a pinch. The rangers who work there are great and spent about 45 minutes with us talking about wildlife with our kids, which they loved! Grounds are always clean but sometimes it can get a little crazy in weekend nights. Read moreThis is a great little spot.... was an adventure to find but when we got there we had a great time! The rapid waters was wonderfully cold made for a good weekend getaway . Just know no running water so take plenty of hand washing water or antibacterial gel. Plus the skunks are a little gangsta... definitely want to put away any food items you want to use up high. We lost a whole pack of tortillas due to thinking they could get on the top of the picnic table....lol... oh well...
