The two of us selected Antlers on the Creek Bed & Breakfast based mostly on the TripAdvisor reviews. Before we booked, we had a a few questions. Susan, the owner, responded quickly and gave us the information we needed. When we arrived, we found our paperwork and key ready for us. Zack, one of the friendly people who works there, greeted us and gave us the overview of the place and showed us to our room, Canyon Creek. It faces Lightner Creek and is clean, bright, and beautifully decorated. Besides the great view, it has a mini fridge with complementary beverages as well as a very comfy king bed with soft sheets.
Susan's designer touches are evident across every part of the property. We really enjoyed our breakfasts every morning and Susan asked us and the other guests if we had any dietary restrictions or preferences. Her breakfast food shows as much of her designer touches as the rest of the place. It's tasty and beautifully presented. We ate well each morning and saved money by not really needing much of a lunch at all. Susan also provides happy hour drinks and snacks. Besides eating together at breakfast, this provides a great opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers. Both gathering times are a great place to get some tips about local restaurants and things to do from Susan and other guests. We found Susan to be extremely helpful and very much enjoyed getting recommendations from the other guests as well.
Susan loves her food and enjoys sharing it and her city with her guests. Take advantage of the hospitality, the location, the food, and the company. You'll be...

As a seasoned traveller worldwide who is not easy to pleade take this ringing endorsement with the honor it is due. Had to update today because Chelsea was on breakfast duty (spotting Desirae) and again a delicious meak included pleasant conversation and great insights on Durango (our reason for visiting). I learne Chelsea does catering and if you need the best food prep she is your go to woman. The weekend at Antlers has been EVERYTHING we were looking for and more. GO.
Finally got to Antlers on the Creek at the start of a beautiful early December trip to Durango and Pagosa Springs (with a few days at Wolf Creek). Had been corresponding with Karen the owner over time but last night on arriving was welcomed by the Manager Desirae who took care of all (including taking order for breakfast). Desarie is a gem and we all had a great chat over wine and cookies. As we are thinking of retiring to Colorado (and always want to do homework including getting to know the locals) this B&B has exceeded all our hopes. The grounds and accomodations are perfect, in a low key natural way. Writing this on back patio...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Antlers on the Creek to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. This was our second visit, and our first time with the new owner, Karen. From the moment we arrived, Karen made us feel right at home with her exceptional hospitality and insightful recommendations for local attractions and activities.
Both Karen, the owner, and Brittany, the talented manager and chef, went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. Every breakfast was a gourmet delight, featuring a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes that set a perfect tone for the day. The beautifully presented Happy Hour was a fantastic addition, offering a relaxing atmosphere with delightful snacks and drinks.
Our room was great—luxurious and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the standout features was the amazing espresso machine, which made our mornings even better with its perfect brews. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a tranquil retreat to relax, Antlers on the Creek is the ideal destination. The combination of Karen and Brittany's efforts ensures an unforgettable stay that will leave you wanting to return.
We had a fantastic time and can't...
