The camp grounds in Aspen Grove's A and B loops are well maintained and quite nice. Loop A has almost all of its camp sites shaded by apen or pine trees and are perfect for tents and motor homes. Most of the sites have enough drive in room for at least 2 cars if not more. Loop B has fewer trees and much less shade at most of its camp sites. They are good for motor homes and canopies that need a lot of room to unfold but tend to be in direct sunlight all day. Both loops have dumpsters and a very well maintained and heated B.I.F.F.Y (bathroo In forest for you) but the metal toilets are very cold when you first sit down. You can buy fire wood from the camp hosts around $7 for 5 log wedges. The camp grounds are quite close to the marina which is only about 3 to 5 minutes away by car. Don't plan on docking your boat at this marina there is only 1 small dock on the launch ramp open to the public. The rest are private docks. Strawberry is a large lake and there are a few really nice places to camp off the lake that are only accessible by boat. Over all 10/10...
Read moreWe stayed in the beautiful Aspen Grove campground, July 17-July 20, 2022. Upon arrival we were greeted by our wonderful Camp Hosts Richard and Jan. They did everything they could to make our stay most enjoyable. I would give 5 Stars to our Camp Hosts Richard and Jan, not for our over all experience. We were in camp site 50, which is next to the restrooms and garbage dumpster. The dumpster was overflowing and the stench was horrible. This also would be considered a health and safety hazard, especially with the hundreds and hundreds of flies. Unfortunately we did not discover how bad it was until we had spent several hours of setup with two other couple. Richard and Jan, agreed with the problem and kindly offered to move us. Please allow the camp hosts to make a call and have the dumpsters emptied, in an unfortunate situation like this. We do look forward to coming back next year and are very hopeful that we have a better...
Read moreWe absolutely love visiting this campground annually. Many of the camp spots are nestled in the Aspens, making for shade and sightseeing of the animals that live here. Close to the lake and trails, there's a lot to do here. The accessible water and flush toilets are a step up in amenities. I would give this a 5 star review if it weren't for the garbage facilities. The large dumpsters need to be relocated to an area away from the camp sites. The smell and flies really make it an inconvenience if you land in a sight anywhere near the dumpsters. I would prefer a further walk to get to the dumpster. This would make the adventure so much better. Camp hosts have always been happy and very helpful. We will...
