As someone who has not only been taking lessons for as long they could walk but also as someone who works in customer service full time I am extremely disappointed in the service I was given from this business. In my 10+ years of scheduling appointments with different lesson barns I’ve never been met with such sharp and brash service. I’ve been eyeing az trail riding’s lesson program for months now and even have been keeping up with their facebook to see when they were opening up availability for one on one sessions. When I reached out to the owners (which is says to do on their website) Mike told me my husband and I could come out to talk with them about availability and the options they had at the time and even meet their horses! However when I went to set up a time to meet with them I was suddenly met with a couple of very rash responses about the fact he didn’t even know who I was. I understand if he wanted more information about my identity or maybe about my background with horses and riding but it’s the fact that I was instead met with a very rude response. I was very shocked and honestly confused because the conversation we had a day prior was absolutely fine. I explained once again what I was looking for, gave him my name and asked if he needed any other information but I never got a response. I would’ve loved to take lessons here as I’ve been keeping up with them for a long time via Facebook and local events but Im extremely disappointed in the service I received in simply reaching out for a consultation :( Hoping it was all a misunderstanding but I have still yet...
Read moreMike at AZTrailRiding is awesome! I've been on his trail rides dozens of times, and have been taking riding lessons from him for 10 months now. I've gone from confident beginner to a very confident intermediate. I ride for fun, so I'm not showing or doing any sports; I do it for the love of casual pleasure riding and working with the horses. Mike has catered to my style and will give lessons in his round pen or we'll take the lesson on a trail ride. He is very flexible and will do his best to cater to your needs and interests too. He makes you feel like a part of his family and will teach you everything from equine equipment, husbandry, to training and riding. His prices are also reasonable. His horses are all awesome and very well trained. So far the only horse I've fallen from was not one of his! I've brought friends with me to lessons and they've been impressed so much that now they're taking lessons as well! If you're looking for a casual, no-pressure riding experience with plenty of personalized attention for a decent price, I strongly recommend contacting Mike. You will not...
Read moreIf I could I would give this place no stars I would. Az Trail Riding is extremely unprofessional, and lacks in communication in every way. I came all the way from Montana to enjoy some quality time with my aunt and after giving all of the details to one person through text, it was confirmed that we were set to ride. The moment we got to this ranch there was no business sign of any sort which made it confusing. By the time we figured out where to go and got there there was a woman that was not welcoming and extremely rude. She informed me that I could not ride because of my weight and height which made zero sense as the text messages asked only a few questions and not everything they actually needed to know. There was no genuine apology or kindness shown to us in any light. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN RIDING....
