I really hate writing negative things about anyone, and if it weren’t for my desire to save people the risk of picking up something that can cost literally thousands to get rid of, I wouldn’t write anything at all.
First I want to say that the first woman at the front desk — the one who checked us in (blonde with glasses if I recall correctly) was incredibly sweet and personable. Unfortunately, everything else was awful. We peeked at the pool on our way to our room, and the water was milky. Upon walking in to the actual room, we were hit with an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke and mildew. The rug was filthy and stained with something that looked like thick motor oil, there was either ketchup/marinara sauce/blood all down the wall on the side of the bed, and the sheet was not pulled over the mattress, so we could see the mattress was covered with big yellow and brown stains. As bad as that was, we only needed a few hours sleep and may have been able to cope with all of that if it weren’t for IMMEDIATELY getting bitten all over our ankles by what had to have been fleas. I know this is a pet friendly hotel, and it’s something that happens, I understand. After just 5 minutes, we went to the front desk and let them know (very politely and discreetly) about the bugs. I would’ve been okay to switch to another room if it weren’t for how this second front desk woman (strong Spanish accent) became immediately defensive and insisted the room was fine and there were no bugs or smell. Seeing that this was the response, we decided to just leave. We were there all of 20 minutes, and more than half of that was at check in.
Fleas and bed bugs are terribly prolific parasites, and all it takes is a few minutes in a room for them to hitch a ride to your house on your luggage. It can cost thousands to eradicate them. For this reason, I can’t trust any establishment that is being dismissive and in denial about having a problem. It’s just cruel to subject unsuspecting guests to possible...
Read moreI am actually doing a Google review on this. Location as I have done many other reviews in the past. I'm going to do this Four part series. Before I begin, everybody has different attitudes and things that go on in their daily lives that could contribute to any kind of things experience. They might be having in the moment. So I figure, it'd only be fair to do a 4 part series on this place as to B more bipartisan and fair. I had no problem booking a room online, and I booked and didn't get into town till 3 AM. Because it was such a long drive. I got into town and I checked in and I paid for a week as I do in all my reviews. And I went to the counter and I know once I got there. They said there is a $200 deposit for local people. I explained that I was not local and I was not staying one night, so this did not increase, but I feel like they should have put that on their site and you haven't been a minotifiedbut I feel like they should have put that on their site, and you actually would have been notified about it. So anyway, working for Google revie reviews i put the deposit down and I videoed into the room. Watching further reviews. For videos and pictures now this place does have accommodations, and the rooms are nice. There was a bug on the wall, but you'll see in the videos and there's no safe in the room. There's a swimming pool. And that looks perfect, and I. They are very kid, friendly. Have breakfast Which is a good breakfast? I came down with my son who likes to wander and he had a good time running around and we made breakfast and everything went well so as for now I have no complaints. I think that maybe some things might be different in the coming days. So that's why I'm doing a part series, but that's how the 1st day went. And I will tell you about the pool and the workout room in the...

Stayed here for 1 night on September 21st 2021. The stay was fine no complaints. Everyone was polite. While driving home my wife started noticing some red itchy warm bumps on her arm. We didn’t think much of it until the next morning when she woke up they were in very distinct lines and groups on The right side of her neck and her right arm. The side she sleeps on in bed.
I called that day to Baymont inn and reported that we have bedbug bites. By the time I called the manager he had already heard of my complaint. His first phrase to me on the phone was “did you find any bedbugs on your clothes or ourselves”. After I told him no. He said they checked the room out and there weren’t any. If he was 100% certain of his assessment of the room wouldn’t you lead with that, it seems to me he wanted to know if we could find any so he could know if you could deny the claim or not. I think he did find bedbugs in that room and was trying to divert the blame.
He said he would give me a discount, I was more worried about finding if they were bedbugs in the hotel room at the time so I didn’t really think anything of it. He ended up giving me $15 off. I called him later and requesting a full refund. He offered me $30 off, and said he would ask the hotel manager if they could do more. But he’s the hotel manager. It’s been a week since that conversation, and he still has not given me a full refund, we had to decontaminate all of our clothes and our house because we didn’t realize they were bedbugs until the next morning. Had to decontaminate our car our suitcases everything. Took hours of time and not an insignificant...
