Bear Creek Motel & Cabins — Hotel in Four Corners States

When we first arrived at Bear Creek hotel it seemed nice and our cabin was nicely lit and things seemed functional. They gave us a version jet pack with unlimited data for internet. It seemed to work fine for the first hour and a half then the internet seemed to not work the next day. It seemed that it gradually became worse by the passing day, by the second day we couldn't even sent one text on one phone. Another strange thing is they placed Wi-Fi receivers in-between 3 or so cabins so there was hardly a connection, so now we know that the free internet was a lie from the start so we decide to turn on the TV and it said there were channels so we clicked on them and what do you know it says something was blocking the dish then we tried it latter and it said there was no connection either. So we went to the office which has internet but the cabins don't for some ridiculous reason and we asked her why there was no connection and she had no idea and that she felt sorry for us, like really you feel sorry for us like what are we supposed to do with that, and by the way in a freshman in high school and my core classes were important for me to take but since there was no bit of way that I could contact the school or my teachers I ended up missing all my classes in the span of one day. We initially wanted to stay there for 2 days but the place was such a let down and all the people had no clue on how anything worked so we left after the first day. In my opinion if you want to go there keep in mind that YOU WILL HAVE NO SORT OF ENTERTAINMENT while you are there. A peace of advice for the owners there update your tv's since one was maybe made in the last two decades and the other one was not even worth trying due to how antient it looked, and also when placing internet receivers have one per cabin not one per 3 that don't have a strong enough signal to do anything with. For our first overnight travel away from home since the pandemic began, and to celebrate the April birthdays of three of us, another couple joined us at Bear Creek Motel & Cabins for a two-night stay in Cabin C in early May 2022.||||Cabin C is a two-bedroom cabin, but the online booking form balked when I attempted to book it for two bedrooms. A quick call to management resolved the issue and we confirmed our booking.||||At an elevation of 7,000 feet (2,134 m.), the cabins are scattered about the property among scrub oaks and beneath ponderosa pines. A warm greeting awaited us when we checked in, and when I expressed my interest in birdwatching I was handed a list of birds compiled by a recent guest. When the website says that birding is available at the “front door,” believe it: in a day and half I identified 22 species of birds on the property.||||Cabin C exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was fully equipped, and TVs seemed to be in every room (we never turned them on). The free Wi-Fi allowed us to maintain any contact with the outside world that we desired. I can’t say enough about Bear Creek Cabins!!! I stayed at Cabin 7 on the 20th and the 21st of July 2018 and then stayed in cabin 6 on the 28th of July and for the weekend of the 10th and 11th of August 2018 I’m going to be staying again in Cabin C, I cant wait to there again!!! It can’t come soon enough.

For everyone looking for a peaceful weekend away from all the noise of the city life, Bear Creek Cabins is the best Spot in all of New Mexico to stay. Every morning I stay at Bear Creek cabins I wake up at 6 AM to sit on the porch drinking fresh coffee to the smell of Ponderosa pines in the light breeze, Acorn Woodpeckers flying around preparing for winter, Deer walking through the forest in search of a tasty breakfast. It is unbelievable, words cannot describe it, I swear!! Within 5 minutes of stepping into your cabin and setting down your luggage, you are right at home. You feel like you are staying in your own families cabin that’s been in your family for years.

Bear Creek Cabins is World Class when it comes to the picturesque idea of what a cabin in the mountain woods should be!!! I am already planning my next trip and the next trip after that in the future. Get away for the weekend and come visit the nice folks at Bear Creek Cabins! Bear Creek is My New Home away from home.
