Overall, a great campground. Bathrooms and showers kept really clean and smelling good in comparison to most campground bathrooms. the store in the office was helpful for buying ice, fire wood and propane. They also have yard games and you can rent kayaks although we did not. We enjoyed the play area with play sets and open space for kiddos to play as well as basketball court. Everyone was nice and felt safe. We liked that the tent sites were provided with privacy by wooden fencing. With all that said an absolute downfall and something that will deter us from going to this campground again is that the ground in the tent sites are completely dirt! No grass and not even any gravel. thank goodness it didn’t rain or it would have been a muddy mess. instead it was a dirt flying fiasco. our feet and legs were filthy and all of our items were covered in dirt. the inside of our tent got very dirty despite taking shoes off because our clothes and feet when wearing sandals were so dirty. I avoided cooking as much as possible because the dirt was flying when the wind blew. Tables, chairs etc etc along with my kids toys were also covered in dirt. a lot of items that are difficult to clean are stained. We took showers and walked back to the campsite just to feel dirty again because as we sat at the campfire everyone again was covered in dirt. literally had to wipe down with baby wipes and change clothes again in the tent after showering before going to sleep. Our camping neighbors were also very disappointed with the dirt and they camp super often. We love camping but this issue made it very uncomfortable and inconvenient. I highly suggest growing grass, laying astroturf or at least putting gravel in the tent sites. also would be nice if you would update your website because while some positive things have been added like the fencing the webpage shows the tent sites having grass. If I had seen pics of the tent sites with dirt pads no way I would have chosen this campground. I’d like a refund for one of the two nights we were...

My family spent 3 nights in this campground. It was nicer than expected. The entire ground is well put together and offers quite a bit. The gravel roads are well compacted and kept. Each site features power, water, sewer, and picnic tables. There are 2 sets of bathrooms and showers. They are nice to have and work well. My only critique with them is that they are starting to become dated and as of my stay, the bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned in some time, as there were pockets of hair and dust bunnies in the corners 🤷🏼‍♂️. There’s some nice grass, a volleyball court, pickle ball courts, and even flotation (paddle board) rentals available. They offer a small gift ship for some nice conveniences and small gifts. The staff was ultra nice and accommodating each time we interacted with them. There is a game room available to use. In the game room is your choice of ping-pong, air hockey, and foosball. None of the games are high quality and are very well used. However, it was a fun few minutes to play with my daughter. The ground is conveniently located not far from either the north Bear Lake State Park or from Garden City, UT. Lastly, wifi is offered, but isn’t fantastic. Depending on where you are in the campground, you might not get great signal. In our experience, we were not able to stream any videos (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc…). But, could check email just fine. Cell phone reception for AT&T is about 1-2 bars of LTE and not great speed. For Verizon it was 3 bars of LTE and was better. I would consider staying here again. Very clean and they have obviously gone through a lot of effort to make the...

Review for tent camping: The front office is very nice and helpful. The tent sites have fences between them, giving some semblance of privacy. The bathrooms were quite clean and well kept. The grass space and playgrounds are great for kids.

The location is nice that it is kind of in the middle of North Beach and rendezvous. But being right next to the main highway is a drawback for tent camping. Not a huge deal, since you'll hear every other camper and noise in a tent anyway.

Maybe they'll update this, but I did not love that the tent sites are only dirt. It was muddy when we got there. Grass it even gravel would be better. Trailer sites have grass.

I'm not sure if this is good or bad for most people, but be aware that the tent sites are not the typical back-in style. Parking is elevated, you have to walk down stairs. It can make it a little more challenging to unload and load. It made it impossible for us to inflate our large air mattress, even with the 25ft extension cord (we have a 110v outlet in our van we planned to use, and we cannot fit the mattress through the tent door once it is inflated. I'm also a little concerned about landslides with how they cut away the hillside for the tent camper parking.

The staff never emptied the single garage can for the tent area. It was overflowing the entire 2 nights we were there.

Overall we had a good time in a...

Had a great time at Bear Lake Venture Park this last weekend. The trailer site I was in had plenty of room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Campground is dog friendly as long as they are leashed. The playgrounds/volleyball area keep the kids busy during downtime. Each site has a strip of grass with a picnic table and firepit along with full hookups at trailer sites. The bathroom was clean and showers had plenty of warm water. Weekends the campground is full so make reservations in advance but sunday afternoon, monday and tuesday we almost had the place to ourselves. Minnetonka cave is close by and is a worthy trip when not at the lake. Wifi was at times spotty but I was still able to make international calls via WhatsApp every day. We'll definitely stay here again.
