Benny Creek Campground — Hotel in Four Corners States

WOW. We decided super last minute we were going to head up to big lake this weekend, missed our time window for checking in and stumbled upon Benny creek campgrounds. tucked far enough away from the main road to forget how close you are to other people but not so far away that an emergency evacuation would be a big deal. The creek was running strong and steady and it was clear and clean enough that our dog drank from it no problem, it was cool and crisp enough to splash on your face,head, arms or back and get a real good refresh going. 5/5 would recommend getting out there and checking out the surrounding...

We stayed here in October 2023 so the weather was not too bad. This was a great little campground nestled back into the woods. There is a small creek channel that runs behind the grounds. It was not running while we were there because the water level was very low to include the lake/ponds near-by. Very quiet and peaceful out here. The campsites are fairly spread out so you are not right no top of each other. We will be back to this area for future...

Nice older campground for tent or camping trailer. We had a wonderful weekend family gathering with three 26ft trailers and trucks each taking one double wide spot. That's all three of the "GS-1" area. We did have to unhook to fit, but would have anyway. Plenty of lovely pine tree shade. Each spot has a table and cool lava rock fire ring. No running water....
