The glamping tent itself is a very nice set up unfortunately the property was not well maintained while we were there.
We arrived late Thursday evening and were so pleasantly surprised by how nice the actual glamping tent, location, and setup was that we decided to extend our stay and use the campground as our base for four days. I wish now we had just stayed the one night.
The first evening, we found the bathrooms and showers to be very clean. The setup provides six individual toilet/shower combos and one toilet only bathroom shared by the 38 sites. It became apparent quickly that this is not an adequate number of bathrooms for the number of guests when it fills up. Simple math would make that clear since 4 people can be in each glamping tent, and 6 people can he at each tent/rv site. When full, the campground site easily has 200 hundred people sharing 7 toilets and 6 showers.
Friday morning, we enjoyed clean bathrooms and showers. Around noon, the electricity went out, and as a result, the bathrooms were then out of order. The male host seemed to actively avoid having to interact with us, and when we asked his wife what was going on, she told us simply to head to town, that was what they were doing. It became clear the campsite did not have a backup generator or contingency plan in case of this type of situation. We found other places to cool down and returned friday evening to a much fuller campground. Although the electricity was back on, there was now a wait for bathrooms and showers. When we did get in there, the bathrooms were not at all clean. I had to wipe out showers and sinks with the provided paper towels. Once an RV came to the site next to the glamping site, it became apparent they had not properly spaced out the sites. The only place to park our vehicle was right next to the fire pit. We had purchased two packs of logs ($8.00 per pack) we never could use because of the spacing issue and ended up simply leaving them for the next person.
Saturday morning, the bathroom situation was worse. There was not a line but before being able to use the bathrooms at all I again had to use paper towels, their hand soap, and water to clean the lids, seats and even floor of multiple bathrooms because people had urinated on the floor. We left for the day and came back to the same situation. I was again cleaning the bathroom before use and could not find the host to notify. Sunday morning seemed a bit cleaner with minimal wiping down of the shower (there was repeatedly mud in the actual showers). We noticed upon leaving the entrance of the campground that there was a dead cat by the driveway. We assumed the hosts would notice and make arrangements to take care of the poor animal. We returned that evening and saw the dead animal was still there and the dumpster was over flowimg with trash. On a positive note, the bathrooms were clean that evening. I texted the owners to notify them with the dead animal situation. They responded immediately and said they would get it taken care of.
On Monday morning, when I took our garbage to the dumpster, I could smell the decaying animal that lay covered in flies at the entrance to the campground. I did have a different female host stop us on the way out to ask about our stay. She was very kind and apologized for the cleanliness issues. However as we left the campground we had to wait to turn sitting next to a dead animal covered in flies. Our daughter ended up getting sick to her stomach.
I so wanted to be able to leave a good review. The tent itself was really nice: soft blankets, towels, and small heater and fan. But the rest of the experience was not very positive. We would...
Read moreAfter 30 days and nearly 10,000 miles on my motorcycle—from the blazing deserts of Arizona to the endless daylight of the Arctic Ocean and back—I’ve seen more than my fair share of campgrounds. I’ve pitched my tent in coastal forests, mountain passes, and mosquito-infested tundra. I’ve slept beneath the stars every night but two, chased into shelter only by relentless rain. I’ve stayed in places that were barely tolerable, some that were passable, and a few that felt straight out of a horror movie set.
But today, as I thundered in from Montana on the final leg of my journey—six hours from home—I discovered something unexpected: the best campsite of the entire trip.
The price? Unbeatable. The signage? Clear and helpful. The tent sites? Nestled in the shade, overlooking a vibrant green field with the mountains standing tall in the distance. And the facilities? Clean enough to rival most people’s homes. After weeks of rough living, the shower here was downright heavenly—the best I’ve had all month.
I truly don’t understand the negative reviews when compared to what I have experienced.
If I ever find myself in this corner of Montana again, I’ll be back...
Read moreWe drove our Class A motorhome and towed vehicle here for a 5-night stay in July 2024.
Pros: This was a great location to explore Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park! It was really nice to be a little outside of the congestion of the park areas, but still easy to drive into them and the town of Panguitch. 360 degree views to catch both sunrise and sunset. Brand new, remodeled facilities at this campsite; everything was clean and comfortable. Plenty of brand new, private bathrooms with private showers (accessible bathrooms available, too). Laundry room had 2 washers, 2 dryers and machines were new and cleaned clothes well. Great selection of RV sites (shade or full sun) with water, 30/50 amp hookups, and private lawn area with your own fire pit. There are also rooms for rent and tent camping sites. Ample parking for extra vehicles. Owner was extremely nice and welcoming. Offers a Good Sam discount!
Cons: No individual sewer hookup, but there are two dump stations on site. It’s off the main highway, so there’s a little bit of noise during the day, but at night, it’s calm and peaceful.
Overall: Highly recommend this campground! Would...
