It's absolutely beautiful, extremely clean and maintained, even site has power and water hookups, fire pit and separate grill , picnic table. very clean camp shared sanitary restrooms with showers...... and there's a huge bonus: his name is Mark, he is one of our camp hosts and he's a superhero. Here's just one example: A campers dog got itself into a horribly life threatening predicament with a teddy bear cholla (the beautiful yet dreaded jumping cactus) it was very very bad to say the very very least. but because of Marks quick thinking and calm demeanor and experience he was able to improvise a way to get the dog out safely and help the owner get the dog to a vet. The little adorable furry baby survived!! I really didn't think the pup had a chance to be honest and I'm the overly optimistic type. He even brought back a picture from the vet after they removed the hundreds of cactus needles and tufts. The pup looked great!😁❤️ Mark spent a few hours that night pulling out his own collection of needles as well. Thank you Mark for being an amazing selfless "dangerous man"*👍😁 The world needs more people like you. And to the owner of the pup, I'm really happy you are all ok and your little one is still with you. And just to let everyone know the owner did nothing wrong, just one of those freak moments.

*A dangerous man is a man that's not dangerous to the world , but is brave enough to stand up for others and do dangerous things in dangerous situations to protect others and...

On our visit to the White Tank Mountains in mid-October, 2022, my wife and I experienced the Park for the first time. On a beautiful sunny day, we chose what our friends suggested was a “can’t miss” trail called the Waterfall Trailhead, #6. Our goal was to hike nearly one mile to the waterfall. We envisioned the waterfalls we encountered on a few of the Hawaiian Islands but Hawaii has much more rain than anywhere in Arizona. On the way to the waterfall we asked hikers coming back whether the waterfall is in full splendor. They made it clear they enjoyed the hike, the beautiful mountains, rocks, and elevation, but that we shouldn’t expect a spectacular waterfall. We kept moving forward occasionally finding strategically placed benches, some made from cement. One side note, you’ll find both restrooms and portable restrooms listed on the map you’ll receive at the entrance to the park. One of the first things you’ll see on this trail is a paved and barrier free walkway and then it’s a dirt trail with lots of rocks and stones embedded in the trail. Eventually you’ll find what are described as ancient petroglyphs, something you’ll need to experience for yourself along the trail. We made it finally to where we were hearing a bubbling of water under rocks and came upon stone steps. The end of the waterfall trail was near. We’ll let photos show you what...

Reserve ahead of time, unless you don’t mind hopping from site to site each day. 32.00 per night with full hookups, water and power. Central bathroom has warm (enough) showers. Fire rings and concrete picnic tables. RV dump and commercial trash containers. Maintenance team does a good job of cleaning. They even rake out every site after a camper leaves.

My only complaint comes from the ‘tent folks’ allowed to camp in the RV area. Four cars, five moms, 15 kids and four tents. Kids were screaming, yelling, running in the drive lanes, throwing garbage, bikes and trash everywhere. Three boys came into the rest room while I was washing my hands. Two went into stalls, the other went for the shower, locked the door and presumably peed down the drain. The moms (no dads) had strung Christmas lights all over the cactus’ and trees. Before being coerced by the park staff to leave, they burned all their garbage in the fire ring. Nice four foot flame with black smoke.

I dinged two stars off for the park allowing tent campers in the RV lot. Why? RV’ers are not allowed in the tent spots.

Overall the park and staff are great. Facilities are just as good. Lots of hiking trails. When the home schoolers left the park was VERY quiet...

What a great Little campground. You need to reserve a spot though the website, but i5 was pretty easy. This specific campground is best for RVs and campers. I was just camping out of my truck, so I kind of wish I would have reserved a space the the campground just south of here.. Willow campground. They have walk up tent camping and smaller spaces for just car camping which is more my vibe. This camp ground still met the mark. Beautiful scenery and views. Trail head was right next to my campsite, made it too easy to wake up, watch the sunrise then hit the trails.
