The camp site was fine but I'd recommend taking a picture of your payment slip. We stayed for 6 nights and 3 of the days I got notices that we needed to pay or vacate. I honestly felt like they were harassing me the whole time. No number to call to see what the problem was, and I even tried calling the local BLM office and got a voicemail which I explained the situation and offered my number and got no call back. I even left some info on my parking slip for the next BLM officer but they took my parking slips and just left me pink warning slips. Maybe one of the officers is nabbing the payments, I'm not sure but they need to get this figured out ASAP! I'm an avid sportsman and paying the $20 a night for the facility is a great deal that I really appreciate. I wasn't skipping days and not paying to save a couple bucks. Read morethis location is good if you want a place near arches national park and moab. it is $20 per night and has vault toilets, trash cans, fire pits (not active in fire season), and NO WATER. it is next to the colorado river, which means LOTS AND LOTS of bugs everywhere.
i went with my family during mid july and our personal experience was horrible. it was around 80s at night and it was very DUSTY and WINDY. our tents ended up being blown everywhere and the dust plus wind made us all disgusting and filthy. we could NOT SLEEP AT NIGHT due to unbearable heat. this was our experience, but it may be different for you.
CHECK the weather before going and expect it to be A COUPLE DEGREES higher than moab. beware that it is...

Campground is directly connected to a river walk for biking, walking, skating, running etc. Pets are allowed. Toilets and doors could use regular cleaning but it was plenty stocked with toilet paper. Campground is right next to the road and traffic is super noisy. There is also some tour group that comes by every night with the brightest blinding lights, lighting up the rock and campsites. Make sure you park on the gravel only, no dirt. Would only camp here again if there was nothing else available. Which is why we were here...
