Where to begin…I’ll start with the property since it is what brought us here in the first place. Our purpose was our biennial family vacation where my husband and I get to spend a week with our 3 children and their spouses. This property was everything that I was looking for and more! Through Mary, I was able to book the entire property consisting of the four Casitas and the commons house. Each couple had their own Casita for sleeping and winding down and just having a quiet space to call their own, while the commons had plenty of room for us to all gather to cookout, listen to music and have bonfires at night. Each casita has everything you need to be comfortable and cozy while being off grid. The sunrise and sunsets each day were breathtaking and the star filled sky didn’t even seem real. This property is amazing!! You will need a 4 wheel drive to get down these roads but to be honest it was so fun! Our host Mary is an amazing individual!!! After planning this vacation our middle child and her fiance came to us and asked if it would be OK to have a wedding on this trip, while we were all together. When I mentioned this to Mary and asked for a few suggestions on place, caterers and florist she jumped right in and became my weddings planner and the only point of contact I needed. She found the baker, the caterer for a bbq meal, she ran to the post office as items were shipped to her and stored them safely until we arrived! But on top of all of that as a surprise to us all , an arbor was built at the perfect spot for a beautiful view of Red Butte Mountain for the ceremony! When we saw it for the first time I think we all shed a tear for the thoughtfulness. Any question I had from the start of my booking to the stupid little ones while on the property, Mary answered promptly and always had the solution to my question. I will definitely be back to this property! I apologize for all the photos but this vacation was to amazing not to share!

Our stay was fantastic! First off, to everyone complaining about the road: it’s clearly stated beforehand, and honestly, it was way better than expected. We drove in with a SUV (Chevy Suburban) and had zero issues. Compared to roads in some national parks or the Monument Valley drive, this one was a breeze. Totally manageable! Now, about the stay itself – it’s wonderfully remote, which was perfect for unwinding after the hustle of a road trip. The casita has everything you need, and both electricity and water worked flawlessly. There are even a few complimentary drinks in the commons area, which was a nice touch. All in all, highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re headed back to Phoenix after visiting the Grand Canyon!

The road was accessible in dry conditions driving slowly, and it’s WORTH the drive! 5 stars cause would be hard to access with a small vehicle BUT they offer pickup. Call and ask if your make/model will make with it if you’re that worried, don’t let it stop you, they will be honest about the road conditions! The isolation of this location is unmatched. The service of a family owned business was second to none, and the room was so homey! The handmade touches such as the hand plastered shower, the Arizona decor, and the kitchen that was to die for all made this the perfect getaway for a decompression evening! The shared space is also very peaceful and comfortable! There’s a good food truck at the dome resort up the road if you get desperate for something to eat and find...

Beautiful and NEW! We definitely recommend a staying at the GCHQ Ranch!! The resort is brand new and very luxurious, especially for the area. The interiors are so well designed and appointed. The bed linens, towels and robes are all super cozy. Every detail was well thought out. Props to the interior designer!! The Commons area lobby and dining were a huge plus - we were able to do a little work on our computers at the indoor dining table, as well as on the outdoor patio. The internet is very good in both the Commons area and the Casitas. Mary, the General Manager was extremely nice and helpful. She was able to give us recommendations on local attractions and exceptional service during our stay. We were only about 20 minutes from the Grand Canyon. We will...
