SEDONA EL SALVADORIAN FOOD 🇸🇻🏜️ [hosted] This is a pop up menu by @Bibi’s kitchen at the Junipine Resort in Sedona. This menu will be available for lunch and dinner until October 1st. It will be some of the best food you will have in Sedona, trust me.. We tried: ▪️ 3 Birria Tacos $17 ▪️ Mini Pupusa Platter $26 ▪️ Diablo Mussel Shrimp $30 ▪️ Birria Short Rib Beef Trio $26 ▪️ Mama’s Pollo Guisado $27 ▪️ Elote $8 ▪️ Aguachile *not on menu 📍 8351 N Highway 89A Sedona, AZ 86336 #sedona #az #arizona

Could not be more disgusted and disappointed with our stay at Junipine. Like many we paid a premium to stay at Junipine Resort and while we expected something a little dated, what we got was a filthy, poorly maintained, moldy, smelly, pigsty of a 'cabin'. The first thing we noticed when we opened the door to the cabin was the smell. Mouldy, dirty, dusty and something crossed between vomit and death 🤢. The couches were so dirty (pictured) that we couldn't bring ourselves to sit on them, the carpet on the stairs was stained and dirty and one lap across the floor had the soles of your feet turn black - we wore shoes all the time. The dishwasher was broken and had 2 inches of stagnant slimy water sitting in the bottom of it, not to mention the scale that had built up, pretty sure it had never been cleaned - I hate to think how much old food was in the filter. We raised the smell and the unclean cabin with the reception staff member when we went to ask about firewood. He said that he would flag it with the cleaners and offered us a complimentary candle from the gift shop to mask the smell. We went back to reception to raise the issue with the dishwasher later, when we were cleaning up our dinner dishes. We were told that they would have maintenance come and look at it the following day. At no point when we raised these problems did the reception staff member offer to come and look (or smell) at the issues or offer an alternative room. We made the decision while sitting on the dining chairs, miserable, disappointed and frustrated that we would check out early (even though it meant we were hundreds of $$ out of pocket). Then came bed time. The bed was broken, the headboard was attached to the bed frame by one flimsy bolt - a repair job after the original brackets had obviously broken. Any small movement had the bed squeaking and us wondering if we were going to end up on the floor. The headboard was loose and banged against the wall - we stuffed a pillow between it and the wall to stop it so that maybe we could get some sleep. The following morning, we checked out. We showed the below pictures to the reception staff member who has referred this to the manager who has since tried to reach out to get more details on the issues. My hope is that management will refuse to place any guests into this (or any other rooms that are not up to standard) until the owners remedy these problems. This place is a health hazard. Do not waste your money. We do not recommend.

Outstanding. Easy to find and a great location. Very quiet especially since rooms face the beautiful creek and wilderness. No road noise from 89a in our room or on the private deck. Our room was fantastic with a wrap around deck above the creek, lots of space, a fireplace with a fair supply of wood. Kitchen with full-size refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, Keurig, toaster etc... bring your own groceries. TV & DVD (movies available in lobby), board games & books in room. Grounds are quiet and maintained. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the wood swing while watching birds at the feeders. We walked the area near the creek. Perfect areas for a picnic! Restaurant onsite that was great for dinner; double check for days of operation. Some food stuff in the lobby but we stopped in Sedona for supplies. Lobby staff is really helpful and check in was a breeze. Assigned parking space. We hiked West Fork which is 2.2 miles away; you cannot walk to trailhead. FYI on West Fork, we got to the trailhead parking lot at 7:15am on a Wednesday (November) and there was plenty of parking. Trail did get really busy as we were coming back. There is a trail that starts near the creek on the property but we did not hike it. I would stay here again and I would stay longer.

Upon arrival both women at the front desk had a pretentious attitude, like we were about to stay in one of Sedona's most upscale accommodations. We did pay over $500 for the night, but it was a last minute booking and we wanted 3 beds, something hard to find at a hotel. While cozy, the cabin was too antiquated for the price tag. The "wood" floors were warped and rippling, giving a cheap and gross feeling upon entry. Biggest issue was that the wall heater made a very loud humming sound, so loud that my daughter couldn't fall asleep.

They told us upon arrival that they happened to be open 24 hours that evening (Sat. Nov. 26th, 2023), however there was no answer when we called several times around 1 AM to get a solution for the loud humming. Upon departure I mentioned this to the front desk, and the maintenance person who was standing nearby said something about us needing to change a fireplace setting in order to stop the humming sound. Huh? The humming sounds were very clearly coming from the front of the cabin by the heating/fan mechanism. However, they were so quick to make an excuse (not really hear me) that I gave right up. No apology was offered.

Upon arrival front desk informed us that firewood was already in our cabin, but that we could come back and get more at anytime. However, when we came back to get more, they said it would be $20/bundle - something they should've mentioned earlier.

Last thing, we could not get the TV to work. Every time we tried to watch anything from any app, even the "free" movies, we were forced to type in a 4 digit Amazon pin that was not available (see picture attached). We tried everything, and we simply could not escape the pin-requirement. Upon departure, this was the second issue I mentioned, and again, the maintenance person excused it immediately - saying that it was a setting from the owner of the cabin, and they had no control over it. Really? I will get a hotel next time and we'll share beds.

Best thing we can say is we loved the real fireplace and used it the entire time. We stayed...

This resort was nice for our family of 5. We had one room with a king size bed, one room with 2 double beds, and our loft had 2 twin beds (we didn't know there was a loft with 2 twin beds so that was a bonus) I would have given it 4 stars but went with 3 because I feel like it is too expensive for what you get. Our 4 night stay was $1,809.84 with no extra charges. I am big on cleanliness. It doesn't have to be new or the best but clean. Our villa was clean. Definitely outdated in parts like the bathroom shower but it was clean enough.

Positives: Wooded area, less populated than Sedona, our living space was roomy, you get one stack of wood per day at no additional cost (if you want more each stack is $10), trails close by to hike. When it is time to go, all you have to do it take your things and leave. I went to the lobby to ask what we needed to do before we left and she said nothing. I asked if we needed to strip the beds we used and she said no. Most places have a to do check list before you leave, this resort does not.

Negatives: We did not have a washer and dryer in our villa and I thought we did. You are able to use their facility which consists of 2 washers and 2 dryers that you share with housekeeping. Need your own detergent which we had.

The kitchen is not stocked with much. Not even a strainer for cooking pasta. You do have the basics: skillet, pots, Keurig and coffee pot, 1 cookie sheet, silverware, cups, plates, few spatulas, spoons, etc One kitchen towel and 1 sponge for washing (gross) are provided, no kitchen cloths. We used a wash cloth from the bathroom. You are only given a couple of trash bags but I am sure they would have given us more had we asked. We needed another bar of soap and went to the Lobby to ask for it in the early morning. They didn't have it but said housekeeping would deliver it by 5pm. It wasn't delivered until close to 8pm.

Overall, I would stay here again. It provided our family with what we needed, I just wish it was...
