I found this place on the web and booked it for two nights and had a very memorable stay! I was greeted by my hosts in a family manner and quickly realized I had a whole house to myself! I loved the back porch and the view east and south-west, both day and night. I watch a far away thunderstorm and slept with windows open, so peaceful and quiet. During the day I had some wildlife roaming around and often enjoyed just the nature at this place. Then one afternoon we had a thunderstorm develop in the NE mountains and quickly got showered in rain and heavy winds. After a while it cleared up and the dry creek down a 100 yards started flowing with a trickle of water, then built up to a roar! It was the first time I experienced a dry creek become a river!! This is a fantastic get away place and it had something I connected with, perhaps a heart. The house had a fully equipped kitchen and even had some organic food in the fridge for me! I will remember my stay there, my friendly hosts and the peaceful nature! Read moreI arrived Friday and stayed through late afternoon Sunday. There is something special about this place that connected with me! I had planned to drive and mountain bike to explore the area but decided to stay, wake up whenever, enjoy the unobstructed view across the creek, watch the humming birds, the afternoon storm that moved in and changed the dry creek to first a trickle, then a roar for hours! So connected to nature and I simply loved it!! I will return to enjoy this rare place that connects with your soul! The hosts were very attentive, yet gave me all the privacy I needed to relax and enjoy! The best B&B with spacious house, not a room! Two bedrooms, full baths, kitchen and living room and the best porch you can...
Read moreWe stayed at the Las Palomas Guesthouse between April-06 and April-09 2016. There were three adults in our party. Everything about the guest house was as advertised and discussed with our hosts. Upon our arrival the hosts were friendly and helpful. The hot tub was a great spot for stargazing in the New Mexico night sky and it overlooks Bear Creek below. The Las Palomas Guesthouse was a great place to relax and recharge. If you are looking for a quiet get away, on a beautiful private site, you won’t find a better spot. Silver City is a short drive away and there you will find excellent restaurants, art galleries and supplies for your stay at the guest house. We will definitely return for...
