We stayed here for a family vacation a few weeks ago. Although the lodge has a great view, I would not spend my money at this establishment again. The rates were much too high for the nightly rate of a cabin. The cabin was VERY rustic. There were cracks between the logs, open ceiling to the rafter beams and roof, holes through the walls, and bugs everywhere (mostly big ants but also spiders and ticks). Thankfully there was a can of raid under the kitchen sink. As far as the kitchen goes, there were a host of problems. Number one, the controls on the oven were broken so you couldn't tell what temperature you were setting or if you had even successfully turned the oven off (which made it very hard for my daughter to bake her carrot cake). Second, there were not enough silverware for a family of 5 and no real bowls at all. The pans were in need of replacement and there was no pot big enough for making the soup that I had brought to make. When I inquired at the front desk for a borrowed pot, the teens manning the desk all weekend had nothing to say but "I don't know, I don't think so." I will spend my money elsewhere next time. I agree with the review stating that this cabin would offer a shower to someone who had been backpacking and was already comfortable sleeping with bugs in their beds.

Overall, our experience just didn’t match what I believe the website advertised. We sure were looking for nor expecting a glamorous luxury experience, but when they say the cabins are “rustic”, they mean that in every sense of the word. We also felt a bit misled by the term “2 bedroom”. It’s actually more of a studio setup with dividers. The rooms are not individual rooms, see pic. Same for the bathroom. If your goals are to really be one with nature, with bugs and spiders everywhere, this might be for you. But my family was not into that and it was quite a disappointment. The overall vibe is a hastily constructed cabin from 100+ years ago, updated by a C- shop class project during the 1950’s. Even the beds were pretty rough, definitely super old. Also, I typically expect little things like soap for the shower, not having that was a hassle. We won’t ever stay again. But if you’re into the super-austere “roughing it” scene, maybe this would satisfy.

Stayed in the Mt. View cabin. Stay was equivalent to a low key hostel. If I were looking for a nights stay and a shower after a backpacking trip or a stay that was a step above camping while hiking the national forest this would be fine, but I expected more from the accommodations. Floor is dirty. Fridge was dirty. Bedsheets have holes in them. Tons of spiders. Bugs chillin on the bed. Tons of road noise. Seemingly used towel hanging on the shower rod. Lots of gaps and holes in the building. Lots of small things that could easily be tended to improve the stay that are just being ignored. Just not what I expected when booking. All that to say, location is great and staff has been kind and helpful.

What an absolute gem this place is! We drove all the way out from Florida to visit the RMNP area, and did NOT want to have a stressful TOURIST experience staying in Estes Park. Meeker Park Lodge was a perfect escape from the construction traffic and mass amounts of people. Upon arrival, we felt like we had been swept away to another time. This is NOT a place to stay if you are expecting the Ritz-Carlton. Accommodations here are very rustic. The rooms are clean, basic, and all you need to relax and unwind. We enjoyed sitting on the big upstairs porch to watch the sun set nightly and the many hummingbirds that were putting on their show around the feeders. We saw a moose cross the road less than a mile from the lodge. It is very QUIET here, the owners and staff are absolutely fantastic people. There was an issue with my credit card being compromised and I had to switch cards upon arrival. Due to a technical problem, the card would not work the first day we arrived. Most hotels would not allow you to stay, but we were welcomed and allowed to check in. The problem was fixed the next day, but the understanding from the owner was above and beyond expectations. We would love to come back another summer and stay an entire week, instead of just a few days. Most restaurants are close to Estes Park, about 15-20 minutes away, so that was the only downfall, having to drive a bit to eat. There is a cute little market in the lodge that has lunch stuff and snacks/drinks. Thank you Meeker Park Lodge for setting a precedence for hospitality! We can't wait to come back and stay...

Pros: Right by Rocky NP Log cabin vibes Willing to help when needed, like the shower not working Had the basics Probably more affordable than Estes Park ~$150/night… Gives some water bottles the first night but nothing after that Cons: No maintenance in the room after first night Outlets did not have ground input, only two main sockets Shower did not work the first night No clear directions on where everything was and when the main lobby closed (-6pm) Nails coming out of ceiling, unstable walls and floor (creeaking noises) Closet doors swinging bathroom door very loud Nothing was sound proof so could hear everything Shared small fridge/microwave in hallway Built in 1922… Firm mattress without much of a comforter Dirt underneath the bed Water was in the lobby so if you need water you have to fill your water bottle by 6pm to get enough water Heat in bathroom so not good ventilation No vent in bathroom had to use window Have to walk out on the deck and through the stairs to get to your car at night Door to the deck was often left open so anyone could have walked in Short staffed Check in was not clear, we had to wait for a while at the front desk, before we decided to check in...
