Wow.||This place is absolutely amazing. I booked a 3-night stay for a relaxing escape in mid-August. It was so great I extended it for an extra night.||I stayed in one of the airstreams. It's the cheapest option, but even the cheapest is quite luxurious. The cabins look incredible as well, but I was more than satisfied with the cheap room. The bed is very comfortable with great bedding and pillows. I took mine in case and left them in the car. There is a microwave, sink and refrigerator. there is a large couch at the opposite end that one could sleep on. It's not nearly as comfy as the bed, but it's not bad. The unit had AC but it struggled a little bit when the temp was in the 90s so I would just chill on the couch which was right under the AC and I was fine. So the couch is capable of serving as an adequate bed.||The amenities are fantastic. I was sooooooooooo in love with the bathroom and especially the showers. I had my own towels but they supply them. I had my own shampoo and conditioner but they have great quality options in the showers if you need it. The shower looked like one at a nice spa. It had a great rainfall showerhead as well as a separately operated shower wand. The best part was it was an open shower. there was no roof right above the showerheads. I've never showered under the open sky and there was something so amazing about it. It was the only time I kinda wished for rain, because that would have felt so great. They have a great pool and a decent hot tub. It was hot enough but no as hot as I like it. Every airstream and cabin has a great firepit as well as a table and chairs right outside their unit. I was EXTREMELY disappointed however, that there was a ban on wood burning fires at that time due to fire conditions. Obviously, however, I don't blame Ofland for this. It just sucked because I love to relax in front of an outdoor fire at night. On the plus side they have dozens of gas grills spread out through the complex. They are tall and don't have a large cooking service so bring your own cooking vessels. Lastly, they have their awesome drive-in theatre. They have old cars you can sit in while they play a move every night at 8:30. It's no Cinemark IMAX but if you loved the drive-in back in the day it's very nostalgic. When I was there they played Footloose, Shrek and Butch Cassidy. There was one other but I didn't watch it so I don't remember.||The last thing was the AMAZING customer service. The staff was always amazing. The walk from the airstreams to the front office is quite a ways. So it can be a pain to have to go get something like ice, which is free by the way. At one point I gave myself a pretty good cut while cooking. I had a decent bleeder and couldn't find my band-aids and my food was still on the grill. So I called to see if I could run up and grab a band-aid and instead they just hopped on their golf cart and ran it out. One time, the grill near my airstream ran out of propane. I called and they brought one immediately. They were nice, prompt and EXTREMELY helpful for everything I needed.||They have a small store where you can buy a few basics like spirits and DIY meal kits for the firepits or grills. The liquor is expensive but not unreasonable. I paid $15 for a 375ml bottle of Tito's Vodka. They have 6 or 7 different spirits and a few wine bottles as well. I wasn't a fan of the DIY kits. You get a protein, side and choice of smore desserts for two people. They were VERY expensive for what you get. The one with two steaks was $70 and the one with a full spatchcocked chicken was $60. So, my recommendation is to bring your own proteins and food.||This brings me to the two big negatives. If you live in Salt Lake or Utah County, it's a trek. It took me 4 1/2 hours to drive from Murray. I didn't mind, but some might so I just wanted to mention it. The next issue is the availability of groceries in Escalante. I didn't want to pack a cooler with food for the long drive since they had a fridge. So I figured I'd just buy what I need in Escalante. Unfortunately, their grocery store is sub-par. Its way more expensive for less quality. For example, I paid $35 for two very low-quality strip steaks, about 1.5 lbs. I know beef is expensive but these were the lowest possible grade select steaks. So, $23 a lb is a little extreme. The rest of their groceries were probably 20-40% higher than a Walmart or Smiths. Also don't expect the greatest produce. It's not horrifying, but it's not even as good as Walmart and that's saying something. There is a Family Dollar in town. That gives you a few more options for cheap supplies and food, but again, it's Family Dollar so hit and miss quality. I would recommend shopping in town and taking that cooler for the trip.||Sorry for the long review but I just wanted to explain why I strongly recommend this place. It's my only glamping experience thus far so I can't compare it to others. However, if there's a better one it must be f'n amazing because this place is fantastic...
Read moreSeriously unreal set up. Whoever thought this up and put this place together is a genius! We enjoyed ourselves way too much and were sad to leave.
Check -in was easy. Received texts with info prior to our arrival. Staff utilize text for communication. They checked in on us for ETA when we hadn't yet arrived.
The lobby (check-in) is set up really nice. You'll find everything you might need or want. Meal kits, snacks, beverages both alcohol and non-alcoholic, shirts, sweatshirts, hats, beanies, stickers, ice, firewood. Here you'll find staff if you have any questions or concerns. I loved that they zoom around on little golf carts. They also offer to bring items you might need right to you so you don't have to walk back to the front if you aren't staying close to the lobby. They even offer rides if you need. They also have a board which lists the movie for the night so make sure to check if you plan to watch a movie.
There are two bathrooms one located right off the lobby and one down by the cabins and airstreams. Bathrooms are gender specific. Bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. I was surprised and grateful to find that they had feminine products (tampons/panty liners) available. They also had q-tips and cotton rounds. Towels and wash cloths never ran out. All the soaps and lotions smelled amazing. Showers were very spacious; bench and hooks inside the shower stalls. There are heaters in the shower stalls for the cold mornings and nights, or for those who aren't fans of stepping out of a hot shower into the cold. Rain shower head and hand held. Water pressure and temperatures were great had no issues when they were all going at the same time. The one item that was missing were stools. I found that kids were having a hard time reaching the soaps and sinks.
The deck area was very nice, although we did not get a chance to sit out in the evening. There are 2 fire pits on the deck and one larger one just right in front. Plenty of seating around the fire pits as well as on the deck. You will also find books and games stocked on the shelves. In the morning they set up coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. They also have 2 cold water containers they had a bowl of fruit; apples and oranges. Cereal/ rice crispy bars which were addicting. If you need a hearty meal they have a taco truck. You can find the menu on the site , download it from the welcome pamphlet or a hard copy at the truck itself. The cornbread french toast was something I never thought to make, a tad too sweet for me but still tasty. Side of crispy bacon helped balance it out.
Cabins were very spacious. Loved the classic decor. The mini fridge was plenty big for items we needed refrigerated. There was a microwave well hidden I could have easily missed if I hadn't opened the cabinet. Matches and fire starters for the fire pit were easy to use. Beds were comfortable although I did feel as if I were sliding off the bed at times. They do offer linens for the day bed if you need. The Drive in theater was a hit with both kids and adults. This is a really great feature that is different from any Glamp site we've stayed. The classic cars were well set up with heaters and a radio. With such a cold night the heater was definitely needed. Some guests had issues getting the heater to stay on. They have to sit just right and even others the safety function will turn them off. The heaters kept us warm enough. We did have wearable blankets as well which I'm glad we brought because it was an extra cold and windy night. I do suggest you bring a blanket with you just in case. There was a slight breeze but not too bad. Of course this will depend on weather. While the cars are dead the windows roll up and down which I imagine would be what you need on a hot summer night.
Since we visited during the "winter" season the pool was closed. The hot tub was open so the kids enjoyed swimming around. With it being cold and windy we had the place to ourselves. The hot tub is the perfect size and can fit many people without being over crowded they do have the jet...

Prior experience: bad IG ads. Price rating changes daily. It was $368 for 2 nights. when we got to our tiny cabin, the husband already said we should've stayed at our local hotel. The hikes listed on their nice card stock pamphlet weren't close.
Parking was tight. People parked wherever. The tires on the bell hop carts were bald, so it was hard to drag onto the uneven rubble since tiny cabins were located furthest from parking. Landscaping sucked because there's so much fresh tumbleweed in between cabins..can't the resort fee going towards clearing that? I'm glad I brought a flashlight when I needed to use the facilities at 3 AM.
The community pool. Somehow, my spouse thought that a pool was located at each cabin location. We had to walk from the westest end of the camp to the other. The pool and hot tub were full of bugs. There was one point where the top of the water had just been cleaned, and the rest of the other visits we swam with floating critters. Bug zappers could be added closer to the pool and rooms as well.
Sunbathing patrons would move the lawn chairs right in front of the hot tub area and make it uncomfortable being on that side of the hot tub. It was awkward since it's a battle of personal space in the pool with squeezed lawn chaired sunbathers in your face. I think this space was supposed to be a walkway for sitting, not laying out. It wasn't until our last day that staff moved the chairs back to its appropriate location. I think there should be more umbrella alternatives since we were baking in the sun, and that's why sunbathers squish their seats in this already hardly shaded spot. The dust storms occurred, so I figured this was why they took away the umbrellas. However, a head's up would have been nice..or harder regulation to keep the chairs on the right sides of the pool. We only saw staff near closing or when it was time to be kicked out of the pool.
The cabin was basic. The AC got down to 62 degrees, but we were still sweating. The AC unit and cabin were dusty, so we were breathing in the dust. There was a blue stain on the couch, and the odomen were stained as well. DH sat on them, and it deflated. Lol.
Some staff were fairly rude. The kitchen staff was awesome. I went to the bathroom near check-in, and while younger cleaner was working on the floors, I let her know I was going to use the bathroom. She didn't acknowledge me or move out of the way. I also requested the handsoap for the West Bath house. It took a day and a half to refill them. DH came across a staff member to relay this, and the staff just walked right by her with her head down. When it brought up to front staff, they said that the cleaners were supposed to cover this. I needed to use sanitary pads at the last minute, but they ripped in half after wearing them for less of an hour. Most IKEA interior, which is cute, but I wish they could have had blackout curtains and heavy duty stuff. The floor is quick to dirty
The firepits had thick firewood, and the grill cover didn't close all the way. we brought our camper stove so we were able to cook on their plastic table setting. And we walked across camp to wash our dishes at the lounge.
We were also looking forward to the drive-in movie theaters, but when we saw that you couldn't pull your vehicle in, we just opted out of that activity. This and the pool were why we were attracted to this venue.
We really enjoyed the showers, even though not all had the same features or water pressure. The water pressure of the toilets was also low since there were usually poop remnants in the bowls.
Breakfast complementary was just coffee, tea, apples, oranges, and rice crispy cereal mini cubes..the cocoa pebble rice crsipies weren't favored at all. I've been to budget hotels that actually gave big locally made muffins, and this place has the audacity to tell me rice crispy treats were "cereal bars" 🤔😮💨😬😅
We didn't try the food when we heard that the ice cream was $4.99 for a cup and...
