Come for the sand but stay for the stars. The sand and dunes are truly amazing, but if you have opportunity to camp out under the stars DO IT. It was truly one of the most breathtaking and astonishing sights I’ve witnessed. The clarity of the celestial sky was, out of this world. I’ve never seen so many stars with my naked eye. An experience you’ll never forget. (There is a bit of a trek up and down dunes to get to the campsites. It can get pretty hot so make sure you take plenty of water and food.    Read moreWe could not stay here during our visit, but we hiked the trail and I wanted to add some photos of the various designated campsites for this campground. The only way I could see to do that is to write this review and upload my photos.
I did have a hard time identifying every one of the campsites, thus not every one is documented in the photos.
