Very nice campground, actually better than some of the pictures I saw of it, which made it look pretty barren. A lot of the trees are younger, and it's not like some where you're totally nestled into the forest and can't see your neighbors, but it was clean, quiet, had moose walk through my campsite all three mornings, great view, and a great location. Ranger Lakes, just a few hundred yards away, offered great fishing. A few miles away, hiked into Lake Agnes, about a mile in with some elevation gain, and a mile around the lake itself, for almost 3 mile round trip, but gorgeous alpine lake where I caught my PB cutthroat trout. Water spicket in the loop. Trailer tanks can be filled by the dump station down the road at State Park. Vault toilets are kept very clean and stocked. Plenty of trails to hike. Next to the trail to the lakes, a stream at the back, short walk to the bathroom, we were able to hang our hammock, and lots of space for the kids to play. The site was well leveled and easy to back into. Be aware the campground host was never around, and we had to buy firewood at Moose Visitor Center, none available at the campground when we went.
