Very nice campground, actually better than some of the pictures I saw of it, which made it look pretty barren. A lot of the trees are younger, and it's not like some where you're totally nestled into the forest and can't see your neighbors, but it was clean, quiet, had moose walk through my campsite all three mornings, great view, and a great location. Ranger Lakes, just a few hundred yards away, offered great fishing. A few miles away, hiked into Lake Agnes, about a mile in with some elevation gain, and a mile around the lake itself, for almost 3 mile round trip, but gorgeous alpine lake where I caught my PB cutthroat trout. I...

Some spots are tight to back into. Recommend arriving during daylight. Most spots aren't on top of each other. Barely heard neighbors. Plus side has electric hookup. Water spicket in the loop. Trailer tanks can be filled by the dump station down the road at State Park. Vault toilets are kept very clean and stocked. Plenty of trails to hike. Neat little lake to fish a short distance away. Be aware of hunting seasons. Hunting is allowed in...

We loved this campground! We had site 128, and it was perfect. Next to the trail to the lakes, a stream at the back, short walk to the bathroom, we were able to hang our hammock, and lots of space for the kids to play. The site was well leveled and easy to back into. Be aware the campground host was never around, and we had to buy firewood at Moose Visitor Center, none available at the campground when we went. No big deal. The state park...

Worth the drive. We drove through Rocky Mountain national park and over into Walden to stay at ranger lakes. Very remote but has more than enough of the amenities you would need camping. There’s hiking, fishing, biking, dispersed camping literally everything out here. Dispersed calling us some off-road entries and also book up quickly but have amazing views.

Love this place. So beautiful. Saw many moose. Restrooms smell pretty bad though. Our campsite was across the road and down a bit and we could still smell them when we sat outside. Also the fire ring was full of charred logs. Not sure we could have had a fire had we wanted to.
