Our family visited this campground during Easter weekend 2019 and it was full as expected. Most of the families had ATVs and motorcycles and there's nothing wrong since it is allowed. However, when they're using them at 3 or 4am in the morning with loud music around the campground and drunk, that's when it started to be a bad experience for us. The campers were not respectful at all of noise and behavior and no one came to inspect at any time of the day or night. On a plus side, the bathrooms were "cleaner". No water available though in the premises. This site really needs supervision, and rules for all to enjoy. I will not be back anytime...
Read moreFantastic and quiet (when we went) it was a Thursday day trip from Deming, spent about 8 hrs there, peaceful, clean restrooms (check them all out first to find the best like we did.). Plenty of quiet sites, but we had the whole place to ourselves practically, so unsure what it's like when it's busy. Read morePerfect campground if you're visiting with young children. This campground is the first of three when entering the Gila National Forest (approximately 9 miles away). We originally wanted to stay at Mesa because it overlooks Lake Robert's but there was a nightly 🌙 fee (cash or check only) which we didn't have and too high for young children to play.
