We had a wonderful experience at this location. It was just me and my 3 kids (ages 6, 4 & 1). The hotel is beautiful and clean. We were welcomed by every single staff member including each cleaning lady we walked by they were all saying hello and asking if I needed anything.
There is a life sized chess game that the kids “played” and it was near the pool that has a nice large shallow area for the baby and 3ft swimming for the bigger kids. They also had a large spiral slide with someone monitoring at the top to help the kids down - since it was water park sized with rushing water down for speed.
The pool was clean with beach like vibes overlooking the golf course. With poolside food and drink service and a restaurant/bar.
They have day care service “Quail Kids Camp” for additional cost that they offer for date nights (we didn’t use it) but it said they offer: Cultural activities, crafts, games, wall climbing, outdoor activities, movies and video games. There was also a free board game area for the kids with coloring books, puzzles, legos and games such as Candyland (probably for ages 10 and under).
We used valet and they were available around the clock (it was NYE and my husband had to get our vehicle very late at night). The valet guys were extremely helpful and friendly.
Room service and food was great. We ordered a 12” pizza and chicken tenders that fed me and the 3 kids and was full sized plates. They have a small refrigerator, coffee machine as well.
The room was really clean. We stayed in 1019 which was bottom floor, a few doors down from the pool and chess game, right next to that day care, and our backyard (with sliding door and seating area) was a paved sidewalk where the kids were able to ride their bikes while I enjoyed a drink on the porch. Also had a grassy area and trees for them to climb on and a cool bridge over water and an Indian hut the kids loved. All from the view of our back porch from room 1019. TV you could sign into your Netflix account and it automatically signs you out when you checkout of your room (big plus if you’ve ever stayed in a room without anything but cable). WiFi additional charge and bad service without it.
We also ventured a little further behind our “backyard” with our bikes and there were more scenery and paved areas to ride, looked like spaces for wedding guests. There were multiple bridges and fun things to explore. We found a place you could rent paddle boats and heard there were horse back riding you could do as well (we didn’t do either but would like to next time!) They also have fire pits outside for guests to use.
We had an awesome time and just an overall awesome place to be for couples and families - there were a lot of young kids at the pool but not so many that I feel like would bother me if I were on a couples retreat without children. Very quiet and peaceful place. Grateful for the friendly staff, making me feel so welcome by the end of my stay they all knew me and I was only there for one night. Maybe it was me and my entire entourage of kids that made me recognizable lol. Either way, we can’t wait to come back and already told a few of our friends!

Read moreSo I stayed here back in 2019 and now in May, 2025 while attending Radford Racing School. While there are many choices for lodging in the area I always found this to be the best. If just works for us being so close to Radford. ||I am a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite Lifetime member and this stay was all on points and we stayed a total of 3 nights. The buffet breakfast was included in our stay complimentary at Ko'sin and worked well as we needed to be at Radford at 7am each day. If breakfast is not your thing they have a coffee shop with breakfast items downstairs near the bar. We stayed on the ground floor in room 1006 and it was close to everything.||The hotel and grounds are well maintained and our room was clean, neat, and tidy. Upon entering the lobby and all through the hotel you will noticed a very pleasant unique smell that is light and fresh. There are several restaurants on site but we only ate the buffet breakfast at Ko'sin. Downstairs from the main lobby there is a nice bar with entertainment. They do offer self park and valet parking for $25 daily.||The outdoor areas were nice and the pools and hot tubs were very enjoyable. There is a slide for the kids at the pool which keeps them entertained. Off to the side of the pool there is a poolside restaurant and bar, Hanyo which comes in very handy while using the pool. At night off the main lobby there is a fire pit and was really nice for a late night scotch and cigar. I didnt use the spa so I am no help there. There are several activities for kids and adults with a golf course and riding stable on site. They also have paddle boards and kayaking and kids club as well. The outlet shops are also just a few minutes away.||One of the reason I choose this property is because it does not have all the hustle and bustle of a casino hotel and is good for families with young kids. If the casino is your thing they have a shuttle to take you there and its only a few minutes away. With rooms starting at $600 depending on the season I can see where most people will think this property is not worth the price because they charge Ritz Carlton rates but this place is not a Ritz Carlton. But even still it is the only Marriott luxury property with a golf course and amenities in the area and you wont find a better resort around.||As far as food goes we never had a lunch or dinner at Ko'sin or Kai. For us after looking at the menu at both its just not our thing so we found other food options close by. I would stay here again if I had to but only on points. I am not sure I would pay $600 plus a night to stay at this property while attending Radford Racing School. However if my kids were small and I had my family with me this would be the place I would stay because the resort offers something...
Read moreSummary: A visually beautiful resort with mostly excellent staff. BUT, be prepared for poor pool service and a very lively, kid-centric environment. Highly recommended for families. Couples seeking serenity or attentive poolside relaxation should probably consider other options.
If you are interested in reading my long review:
First, this property is exceptionally beautiful. The grounds are magnificent and very well maintained. From the gorgeous lobby to the intimate restaurants, the designers did an amazing job blending native American art and culture in a very tasteful and welcoming way. While the property is somewhat isolated from the city, but there are enough amenities onsite to satisfy most tastes. Also, the vast majority of the employees we interacted with on the property were fantastic. They were genuinely interested in making our stay fun. All of them seemed to really enjoy their jobs and it showed in how they treated guests.
However, there are some downsides, and to be fair, some of them are out of the resort's control. The resort is VERY family-friendly which is great if you are a family traveling with kids. However, it is difficult for couples traveling without children to enjoy the serenity of the resort while noisy kids run up and down the halls and overwhelm the pools with screams and general loud kid-noises. I don't blame the kids here as they are just being kids and it was good to see them having fun, but because of it, the vibe at the resort was more Chuck E Cheese than tranquil, which betrayed the overall theme of the resort. And again, this is only a downside to couples without kids. If you have kids, I highly recommend the place as your kids will have a blast.
And lastly, don't expect resort-level service at the pool. There are only a couple of attendants and in the two days we were there and utilized the pool, the service was virtually non-existent. Expect no service or very slow service poolside. On our first visit to the pool, it was over half an hour before anyone came around to take our drink orders and another 30 minutes after we received our drinks before they came around again. On our next visit to the pool (on a Sunday during the day), the attendants never came over to check on us and we had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. This was the only experience we had on property where the service was poor. In every other instance, the employees were great and the service phenomenal. It is just a shame that one of the central attractions to the resort was such a let down in...
