(Please disregard negative posts associated with the previous owner...) Passed through on a moto trip about a year ago. The owners were amazing hosts and set us up with lodging and even made us a delicious dinner which we enjoyed with his family by a raging community bonfire. I'm not sure how far along with his vision the development of this place is but it's an amazing way to truly connect with the local landscape. We stayed in tented structures that are up the hillside tucked into the aromatic Junipers. I believe his plan would have this place as a destination for travelling adventurers or even a hidden glamping site. Whatever this place becomes, it is currently an absolutely beautiful site what with the riverbend, hillside layout and historical cabins. Maybe too much to describe here but this place is an explorer's lodging gem. Plus the owner seems like a great docent for this unique historical site. Bonus tip - even his dog is cool!!

Great for family fun! Our family of 6 recently stayed and had a really fun time and great experience. Mason was a wonderful host, sharing the history of the property and area, and even going above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable. The property is beautiful and tranquil. We stayed in a yurt which was comfortable and nicely decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. Our 4 children (ages 9-17) enjoyed hiking around the property and sitting by the fire at night. There’s not a lot of information online before you arrive- so be sure to know it’s a very rural area and bring a cooler with water, snacks and camp food so you don’t have to drive into town for food as there is not much around once you get to State Bridge. We spent a day on the river with the Colorado River Center which is just down the road on a guided float and had a blast. Recommend for families looking for a fun camping experience near the river.

Stayed here during hunting season for many years. It was a regular place for hunters to stay. Now the place changed owners & we hunters were no longer welcome. Too bad. Not many travelers in late October thru November. Hope some day owners will welcome the hunters back.

I give this experience a 2 because there was a wonderful Guy there trying to help me out with my reservation even though this was the same day the guys was fired. The Yurts were dirty inside, they had not cleaned them yet to prepare for the reservation that I paid for in advance. It appeared as though there was a bunch of stuff moved out of the Yurt and onto the lawn around the entrances of them. After expressing our disappointment at the cleanliness of the facilities we wanted our money back or at least a partial refund. No such luck. Would...
