My family and I , me husband and six kids came here as climate refugees from Florida after we lost our house in the most recent hurricane ( Milton) our initial experience was good we spoke mostly with Kirsten, who was wonderful. She knew that we were coming she knew everything we were coming with, which wasn’t much. We were provided a very large lot. In the back next to the employees. This was a monthly lot that we had planned on staying at for at least a year while we rebuilt our life. Unfortunately, we only ended up staying from October until February. Here is my 100% honest review. Pros Location is beautiful They have lots of activities for kids especially around Fourth of July, New Year’s, Christmas Halloween things like that The lots are very large It’s extremely safe. I never locked my door. Animals are welcome there The place is clean and well kept up They offer a café in the front office, which has a nice selection of drinks and meals. There’s also a full operating bar. 99% of the staff was very nice my favorite employee was Jeff. My kids also liked hanging out with Morgan. They were our neighbors all the way in the back. Jeff is the maintenance manager. He was very nice and welcoming, and extremely helpful to me . We enjoyed sharing meals with him and his wife, they made us special Christmas reindeer farts I think are what they called. My kids enjoyed going to Morgan’s lot and would hang out and talk. My youngest took his Nerf gun and ever so wonderfully decided to shoot me and all of his siblings over and over and over thank you for that Morgan and thank you for not taking the gun back when I attempted to have Oliver return it ha ha. Reformed a really good relationship with many of the employees there and I’m going to miss them a lot many of them were very helpful during this extremely stressful time. Many of them knew that we literally lost our entire life’s work in a matter of hours. There is one other kid that lives there full-time and his parents are delightful as well my youngest made friends with him and they had lots of fun and adventures together unfortunately, I cannot remember his parents name, but they are extremely nice and they are also employees. They have on-site bathrooms, showers, propane and laundry. The manager, Michael is very nice as well and I see him many times, pulling his weight at the front desk alongside his employees. Conns: Village camp is family friendly as long as you’re not a large family with multiple children that plans on staying in long-term spot. there’s a limit of six people at the lot, which is one of the reasons my family had to leave because there is seven of us. There is also a limit to two vehicles, which is another reason that we left because we have five vehicles because I have drivers that would drive to school cause there is no bus that comes to the RV park to pick them up Village camp does not allow any type of pop-up or easy take down sheds of any kind They have an employee named Linda who likes to complain about every single possible things she can find to complain about, including my family, which is the number one reason we ended up leaving. It was constant complaints about everything. I’m not going to get into details, but we did not feel welcome or wanted because of the constant complaints that were coming in from her and possibly another employee.. to the point where we almost had to stop talking to the employees cause she said we weren’t allowed which was really hurtful. Jeff ended up, stepping in and helping us with that situation. Linda needs to go. All in all I would recommend it. But I do think people who are living there monthly in the back away from everybody else should have a right to have a shed to be able to store their belongings to make it look professional and more clean. I’m going to miss the friends that we made at Village camp and I wish we could have stayed. But unfortunately, I was just not willing to continue with the constant complaints from an employee the refusal to pick up our trash and our family size not welcome.

The website wouldn’t allow us to book same day. I called from the road and we were able to get in. We were so happy with the spot we immediately decided to extend to 2 days and have a rest since we’ve been on an extended trip staying different places almost every night. As much as I thought it would be a 5 star experience, it wasn’t. I didn’t find the staff that checked us in particularly knowledgeable or friendly. When we tried to light the fire pit in our premium spot I went to the office and asked about lighting the pit. She didn’t know, I didn’t know so she called a maintenance guy who came to tell us she was a “newby” and we needed a stick lighter to start it, because it wasn’t a button igniter like a BBQ. I wasn’t carrying a lighter and went back to the office. They don’t sell them and she was reluctant to loan me once saying she would send someone to pick it up in a while. The pits have a 60 minute timer and if they go out, you have to relight them. When I explained that to her she agreed to let me use it. I don’t understand how I had to explain the process instead of her, but okay. Please sell these things to save hassles. We were also told no dogs were allowed in the building, but saw other dogs inside. Be consistent. They weren’t service animals. In my opinion their store could benefit from less swag with their logos and more offerings for campers; paper towels, supplies and the like. The place is beautiful. The showers included. I was looking forward to a good one. The water went from freezing to scalding, back and forth. It was hard to get the shampoo out of my hair because it would only stay in the middle briefly before becoming cold. I suspect the laundry room in the same building was the cause, but I don’t know. It was just disappointing. We ordered a pizza while we were there. It was very good. We enjoyed it a lot. Great surprise. We took it out but the woman who took the order made sure to point out there was a gratuity question to answer. I thought that was unnecessary. We can read. By the way, they don’t accept cash. Credit cards only. If you’re invested in quality sleep, this place isn’t for you. The trains are loud and blowing their horns hours before you’re probably ready to wake up. I find them kind of cool, but they would turn a lot of people off for sure. This isn’t a permanent RV park, so I don’t feel like they’re focused on providing the best experience there. We were told it will eventually be filled with the park models. The RVs are filling revenue until that happens, slowly. So it’s a beautiful property, but they need to listen and make improvements where they can.

🌲 Our Amazing Weekend at Village Camp Flagstaff! 🌲 We just got back from a fantastic 3 day, 2 night stay at Village Camp Flagstaff, and we can’t stop raving about it! It was our first time there, and honestly, we were so impressed — I’m already dreaming about when we can come back (fingers crossed for a free night stay 🤞✨)! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the friendliest staff and noticed right away how clean and well-kept everything was. We brought our toy hauler and truck, stayed in the super premium lot, and it all fit perfectly. The lot even came with a super sleek outdoor kitchen and fireplace — everything felt so new and upscale. We went with friends (they have two kids, we have one), and the kids were obsessed with the heated pool and jacuzzi. They also played pickleball every single day, plus football and cornhole — they were in pure vacation mode! We loved the little extras like the free 8 am yoga and the free evening astronomer session where we got to stargaze — seriously, how cool is that?! We also hopped on our electric bikes and cruised around camp, meeting the nicest neighbors who were always up for great conversations. The vibe at Village Camp is just so fun and welcoming. We saw the cabins too — they looked so modern and cozy. We’re definitely planning to book one next time! Huge shoutout to Sabrina and the bar staff — they were incredibly friendly, and the drinks were top-notch. If you go, you HAVE to try the Arizona Trail Mule (like a Moscow Mule) — it’s a 10/10, no doubt. One of the coolest things we did was take our side by sides out to the Lava River Cave (if you don’t have your own, the camp rents them out, which is such a great amenity!). Pro tip: bring a flashlight or headlamp and a sweater because it’s 45 degrees inside — such an unforgettable experience! We also really appreciated how the camp kept us updated via text messages — letting us know about activities, weather-related pool updates, and more. It made everything feel so smooth and easy. And bonus points: we saw a bunch of adorable dogs around (so many cute poodles 🐩!), which made the whole vibe even better. All in all, I can’t recommend Village Camp Flagstaff enough. It was honestly one of our favorite little getaways, and we are SO excited to come back soon — maybe even as lucky winners of a free night stay 😉💛!

We booked online a few weeks before arriving. There are 3 types of campsites you can book. All sites have cable, a picnic table, water, electric and sewer. You can book your choice: Super Premium Lot - They come equipped with a really nice concrete patio, a gas fireplace, a grill and plenty of counter space to prepare everything. Premium Back in lot - These sites have a concrete patio and a propane fire pit for your use. Back in lot - Just an assigned back in spot for you to use.

This RV park is a little tricky to find. As you exit 40, you cannot turn left towards the campground. You need to go right and then go around the traffic circle and head past the pilot on a pretty old bumpy road. The entrance is right at the Williams McDonald billboard. Go over the cattle grate and head towards the where you see cabins and RVs. There isn't really any indication that it is Village Camp, but it is. The first driveway is not an entrance and should have 3 cones in front, blocking it. Take the second entrance on the left. Head all the way around the driveway to the community center, this is where you check-in.

The staff is really nice, I didn't know my license plate number and she walked out to my RV to grab it after check-in. They do offer a 10% discount if you have a Good Sam membership. You will have to show them your card or active account and then they will refund you the discount.

The campground is paved with street names, making it a little easier to get around to your assigned site. IMO, the sites were plenty wide. I wish there wasn't quite so much gravel as it made leveling a little tricky especially as the gravel slips and slides with the weight of the RV. To make matters worse, our site slopped slightly downward. The picnic table is a really nice heavy composite material and easy to eat on. I think in a few years when the trees grow more, there will probably be some shade to take advantage of but right now it is all brand new and the trees are just babies. Many of the sites back up to the National Forest so the scenery is really beautiful around the campground...especially of Humphrey's Peak.

The community center is a beautiful and spacious building. It has a shop with many items you may purchase that you may have forgotten to bring with you...from Kimchi to cheese, they have many items and Village Camp swag for sale. They also serve food (small menu), coffee and cocktails here. If you have the opportunity, I recommend sitting outside. The view of Humphrey's Peak is outstanding. The patio also includes an area with a few sets of bags to play. They feature many nights with live music (until 8:15?). The pool is next door. It is heated but no one used it at all while we were visiting. The hot tub to our understanding has a very big leak that needs to be repaired and is not available at this time. Pickleball/Tennis courts and dog park are yet to be finished. The bath house and laundry facilities are very nice and cleaned frequently.

This site is not too far off of the highway so you can hear the constant buzz of highway traffic and you will hear a constant stream of extremely loud trains. They seem to blow their horns extra long and seem to pass the campground every 45 minutes to an hour overnight so you may want to bring some ear plugs.

We really like that there are rentable cabins alongside of the RVs. This is a great spot for friends that do not have RVs to camp with us RV owners.

There is definitely a sense of community here, events and the community center really does a nice job of bringing people together. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely...

We stayed in one of the cabins for the weekend before the school year started as a last minute getaway. The check-in process was quick and we found the cabin easily. ||The cabin is basically a tiny house like you see on HGTV. The upstairs loft has a very low ceiling. My kids bumped their heads on it several times. Adults shouldn't even bother trying to go up there. Getting into the queen bed in the back, is a challenge, and we both bumped our knees every time we got into our out of the bed. ||After checking in, we decided to go check out the pool. The pool is a decent size, and has chaise lounges in the baja shelf in the pool which was nice. We did not see any towels available, so I asked, and they do not have pool towels available. How do you have a pool, but not offer towels?? I guess you have to bring your own towels from home, or use the ones from the room and get them all wet with chlorine water.||The next evening we were getting ready to cook our food, and the oven/range did not work. No buttons worked at all. I walked to the front desk, and told them, and they said they would send maintenance over when they were done with the other things they were working on. When he came by, it turned out that the breaker was switched off. Not tripped, but turned off. Ok, I admit I should have been able to figure that one out, but there was no reason that the electrical breaker should have been turned off. We ended up having to have PB&J sandwiches for dinner because the kids were hungry and they couldn't wait any longer for the maintenance guy. We tried calling the office to complain, but there was no manager available. We left a message asking for a call back, but we never heard from anyone.||While we were out, we got a text saying that the water was out in our area of the camp, and that they were working on getting it fixed, but no ETA. We ended up extending our time out in Flagstaff, because we didn't want to be stuck back at the room with no water. It was still off when we got back, and was not turned on until at least an hour after we got home. ||There was free WiFi available, but we were never able to get our phones to work with it. There were dozens of other WiFi networks showing up, probably from the RVs around, and we could rarely ever find the provided WiFi network, and even when we did see it, our phones would give an error that they could not connect. There was a TV that did have streaming available, probably because it was hard-wired and not wireless.||There were a railroad tracks on the other side of the freeway, which was probably a mile or more away from the cabin, but we could hear the sound of every train, and their blaring horns, all day, and all night. Even with all of the windows closed, it sounded like the trains were just down the road.||We had high hopes for this place after watching the reviews from other people online. I guess it may be a better experience if you have your own RV, so you know exactly what you will be sleeping in, but the cabins are definitely not something we will be...
