So we booked for a week at the end of April 2022. We did the booking online and paid for the "pick your site" $35 fee. We called the day of arrival to let them know we would be arriving after hours. I got a voice-mail recording after being directed through an automated setup for over 3 minutes. The voice-mail did not say it belonged to the park, it had a woman's name and said she was unavailable. Since all the automated referred to yogi, I left the message. I got a return call several hours later and was told where our info would be and that the bathhouses were under construction. We arrived to more than a campground with under construction bathhouses ā˜¹ļø Our week was spent being woke up by either paving trucks or landscaping trucks or tree removal trucks between 630am and 830am. The basketball court had port-a-pots sitting on it, half the playground was tore up for them to make room for the bounce pillow, the whole putt-putt was destroyed and debris sitting where the putt-putt once was. The lots are not gravel, they are either grown over asphalt or torn up asphalt from the bobcats and tree removal equipment. The Gaga pit did not exist, no access to the pavilion as they were using it for storage. The laundry room was very dirty. Washers and dryers were not clean. One washer sat with green sheets or curtains in it the whole time we were there and the basin had the yogi bear banners sitting in it. I cleaned out 1 washer and 1 dryer and that is all I used while there for our clothes. The plans that SUN OUTDOORS have for this place are great BUT they should NEVER opened for the season while under MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION, especially at $93 a night. If you plan to visit, CALL THEM AND SEE WHEN THEY WILL ACTUALLY BE RUNNING FULL TILT AND WITHOUT ANY CONSTRUCTION!!! I will say that the staff is super friendly! Except for one woman in the office that keeps to her desk and just sort of glares as the other employees talk to the guests šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Maybe on a return visit after all the construction, we will be able to give this campground a 5 star rating.

We visited this campground for a two day trip from the south suburbs of Chicago. The location was slightly hidden but being isolated from the city while being less then an hour away was nice. Check in was extremely easy. The bad: The cabin we rented was rustic as described but also wasn’t clean AT ALL. The cabin was clearly not cleaned between campers. There was food and miscellaneous items left under the bed. The windows were covered in bugs and so were the beds. The floor had Mac and cheese shells spilled all over. Nothing some light cleaning couldn’t fix, but this place would be much greater with just a bit of upkeep(: Our fridge didn’t work (and had food left in it from the last campers) and smelt so gross! After reaching out to management we did get a new one brought to us QUICKLY! The hot tub was not working, the kiddie pool was locked off the entire first day, the WiFi password for our cabin didn’t work and the front door lock didn’t work either and the jumping pad was removed. All of these aren’t a huge deal to us, but if it is to you I’d suggest calling ahead. The restrooms were so/so. Not clean but not too dirty (exactly what I would expect from a campground restroom) There was also construction on the fence so the common area was torn up and off limits which wasn’t a big deal to us either - I’m not sure if this had anything to do with the lack of lighting in the park area but it was super dark. The good: There was a good amount of things to do to keep us occupied for two days. The park was decently big and my 5 year old really enjoyed it. The ice cream that they sell in the office was delicious and cheap. They brought in a taco truck too which was great! The cabin was everything we needed once I cleaned it up. Overall we had a good time and will most likely visit again😊

Don’t stay here. I don’t recall having been in a site so unleveled like this one The internal streets are destroyed. The tree branches were touching our Class C There is a mini golf that may have been amazing many years ago but haven’t been maintained since it’s conception The WiFi is really bad. Don’t pretend to work from here, even when the park was almost empty. In fact the person I talked to from the staff laughed at me when I asked about the WiFi The cell phone signal is really bad too. We have Verizon and T mobile We left the trash outside as they asked but nobody pick it up for more than 30 hours Though the kids didn’t mind it the not so well maintained mini golf. They really enjoyed the amenities and playground. That’s the reason for the second star. If you pretend to visit Chicago, this is not your place. It’s really far far away

I have been a regular Dj at this campground for 3years the fox creek owners new this year are terrible managment, i was booked for several shows this year in back in march 2025 , when i did my first show i was told new management did not pay what i was was charging for Dj's so because i liked the regulars and staff i said ok , my 3rd show was 6/28 and then 7/5 ,when i showed up for the 6/28 show Jamie the manager then told me i was not on his schedule , OH also i should mention that the activity director had just quit also ,she is the person i made the agreements with to do the shows this year which i have in written emails , anyway i told jamie that yes i was scheduled for 6/28 and showed him the emails, also the drive for me is over an hour, i said well i will see you next weekend and he said that again i was not on the schdule so i showed him that date , he acted like he was upset and said he would call me monday and we would straighten this out and he would look at the schedule and that i should send him the email with the confirmed dates , well i did my part he never called , i waited about a week then i called him he said he had to review the email and get back to me ,he has been bus blah blah blah! AGAIN never heard from him, they never offered a solution a sorry nothing!! So i contacted Brenda the Ex activity director told her what was going on and i asked who the new owner is and how can i get hold of them because i am being ignored by Jamie the campground manager, anyway she contacted him and he finally several days later had someone contact me issue me a new first check because it was made out wrong, a check that was never submitted for pay and i charged them 100.00 for my time and gas coming out on the 28th of June. finally received a check , my next show was near end of July so i called ahead of time to make sure i was still on and AGAIN they said i was not on the schedule , so i asked the person i talked to to have the Manager /owner contact me please to get this straightened out still have not heard from them to this day 8/9 /2025 so i sent them another bill for July show date and August show date because they cancelled me never called and told me not to show up, NOTHING!! Dj's get down payments for things like this because we are booked early and in advance and we cannot make up that income .These owners do not know how to manage correctly , they blow you off like your nothing , most off the seasonals loved when i came to do a show , i received many tips and compliments , i try to play all requests especially from the kids.. Anyway If they treat their vendors like this , they will most likely treat their...

I have been going to Yogi Bear Millbrook since I was maybe 10. I am now 40 and our kids look forward to it every year. We have created many fond memories. We have even made friends with our neighbors. Shared foods, drinks, and assisted when need it. This past Memorial Weekend will be forever unforgettable. Never have we been treated with such disrespect from anyone at any establishment. The worst is being treated as if your garbage in front of your retired parents and kids. I asked one of your staff members, manager Linda a simple question to understand a charge. Immediately she replied with a horrible attitude. Her employees noticed as well. I even asked if she was having a bad day and said I was giving her an attitude. That was not the case until I had enough. She asked us to leave and I insisted I would leave and the kids stay. I didn't want to ruin it for them as they look forward to the visit every year. My sister later went up there as requested by one of the employees for change. She noticed her friendly behavior towards the other visitors, she however was treated poorly again by Linda the manager. We spoke to some of the employees and i can't say that had nice things to say of Linda. I'll add the final straw. As she went from cabin to site to see their wrist bands, upon arriving to us she immediately raised her voice. In front of everyone. Of course everyone looked to see the show. Extremely belittled is how we felt. I hate to believe or even think that she was being racist however in that particular instance, that is how it felt. I am appalled, embarrassed, insulted, hurt, and shocked to have witnessed a horrible person in a place where cherishable memories have occurred. I did call Leisure their corporate office and per their phone message I submitted my complaint online. I wanted to speak tothe owner and give them a chance to understand what we experienced. They replied it would take some time and to expect a reply from the owner. It's Friday and i have yet to hear from them. Would i recommend this place to the people i care about? Definitely not. If you are of color, consider visiting somewhere different, where you would be shown respect especially in front of your kids and parents. I'm saddened by this experience and my family and i will look forward to trying out other places to create new memories. All human beings bleed the same color and are creatures of GOD. We're are to love, respect, and do for each other. I hope life teaches Linda for her own...

We have been bringing our grandchildren here for years. In the past years we have been able to check in an hour early... with no problem, this year I called the day before and asked if we would be able to check in early and she said if the cabin was ready to go but it would be a 10.00 fee per hour if you come early, I was very surprised by that! ( This was never the case in the past years) I Politely said thank you but no I cannot pay extra, my daughter then called and said she would be willing to pay the extra $10 for us to come early and they gave her the run around... So at this point we just decide we will come and check in at 3:00 check in time. I get to the campground at 2:40 walk in and say I'm here to check in for a cabin and she says okay when she pulls my reservation and recognizes the name and then she says you need to come back in 20 minutes we can't check cabins in early as I was walking out another family was walking in I proceeded to go sit in my car 5 minutes later they called and said oh you can come check in now when I went in the other family that I passed as I was going out was getting their keys to their cabin with no problem but I had to go sit in my car...and wait till 3:00 check in and she was very rude! I do feel like the inside of the cabin was cleaner than it has ever been in years past... The outside is in shambles, ( I was embarrassed to take pictures of us on the deck) it's missing pieces of the log cabin siding, the deck is rotting, under skirting is falling off , and worse of all the sliding door was so hard to open and close ( we remember this from last year) within hours of checking in the metal frame holding the glass in pulled away from the glass itself! We had to call after hours and maintenance came in a timely manner, he tried fixing the frame and ended up shattering the glass patio door! He taped it up and put cardboard over the shattered glass and we went rest of the weekend waiting for the glass to fall in.... we had our 6 grandchildren with us...I felt like it was an unsafe situation with children...no one ever called or came by to see how the shattered glass was holding up ... for the money they are charging for these cabins $$$ they need to be better maintained...I can't recommend renting the cabins at all!! The grounds itself are nice and do see some improvements there. kids enjoyed the activities! I really can't say that we will be...
