Read moreYou know how you feel when you see an old friend? One that's not there all the time but always makes you feel their honest, comfort and love you feel when your around them? That is what you feel from the moment you walk up onto the charming front porch that has a porch swing and rocking chairs. When you enter the energy you feel is so pure and good it brought tears to my eyes. The house has been so loved by the owners, every detail is breathtaking. We stayed in the Sandburg room and WOW! The bathroom with the huge shower with a soaking tub IN the shower is the highlight of this room and relaxing to say the least. The bed was like a dream. Not too firm, not too soft, just perfect and luxiourious. The built in fireplace is not only cozy but makes the room so toasty! In the basement is a sauna for all guests to use. Breakfast! Oh my lord. Yogurt parfait, baked egg nests on a bed of greens, overnight oatmeal, homemade blueberry muffins, chocolate chip zucchini bread, French press coffee, juice, water and a toast bar! Oh, and Nespresso! Wanna sit around the fireplace and have smores? They got you covered. An outdoor patio with smores bar and fireplace surrounded by chairs and blankets and ponchos for a comfy night time treat. Need more room? Then check out the suite on the 3rd floor and the carriage house (I can't wait to go back and stay in one of those) We weren't able to tour those rooms as they were occupied. But I can't imagine how incredible those rooms must be. Lincoln Way is truly an incredible Inn to get away from the chaos and enjoy some real comfort. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a truly enjoyable experience. The gallon of your honey we purchased is delicious and will be enjoyed and shared with family...
Read moreWOW! What an incredible place to unwind, enjoy family and experience hospitality at an unmatched degree. The bar is set high at Lincolnway Inn. Our family has been here many times and can think of no place we'd rather be to gather as Family and be Grateful for each other.
The staff at LWI is AMAZING! Always attentive and ALWAYS pleasant. While we have hiked and walked during our stays, LWI and the proprietors make you feel as though there really isn't any need to venture out beyond the confines of such an inviting and thought provoking destination. It is said that our Home should be our Sanctuary, and for our family, LWI is that Sanctuary away from home.
We enjoyed phenomenal and bountiful breakfasts, luxurious accommodations and plenty of space to spread out, investigate, and relax. There are sitting rooms where you can enjoy a cup of tea, conversation or immerse yourself in a book or contemplative thought.
There is somewhat of a historical Library on the second floor of the main house, a 'She-Shed/Man Cave' in the lower level, as well as a Sauna.
There are Nesspresso coffee stations just about everywhere, as well as a fine assortment of Teas for when the mood strikes you. Fireplaces to keep you cozy, and an awesome outdoor, semi-enclosed gathering spot with a huge outdoor fireplace to gather around, make smores and share memories.
LWI is fondly known as 'Christmas House' to my children and 5 grandchildren.
Lisa will work with you to make your stay as memorable as ours. If you need lunches to go, she says 'It's Done' Specially requests or dinners? It's 'Done!'
Thank you Lisa, John, Jodi, Lindsay, Anne and Mae for making our stays special, and for making your home, ours as well.
