When I got here, I was excited about the clean and spacious room and was thinking I'd found a great new place to stay; however, this is definitely a one time stay for me courtesy of rude and unhelpful front desk staff.||As a business traveler, I have extremely long and hectic days. I was little surprised and concerned when I saw that "quiet hours" don't start until 11:00 p.m. Sure enough, around 9:15 a group of people started making a ton of noise not far from my room.||On the rare occasions that has happened at Hilton, when I called the front desk they sent someone up to locate the sound and dealt with it. When I called the front desk here, the woman said she couldn't do anything about it if I couldn't give her a room number. Already in bed, I wasn't really looking to get dressed start walking the halls. As with many situations, the way she said it was probably more off-putting than what she said, even though I would've thought she might've cared enough to come up/send someone up.||I asked if I could move rooms and she sounded annoyed but said I could. Then a few minutes later she called back, said there aren't any groups staying near me, and that quite hours don't start until 11:00 so if it's still noisy after 11 THEN I can move rooms.||I never lost my temper but I told her that 11:00 is pretty late to begin quiet hours and she said, again in a pissy tone, that no matter what people will be unhappy so this is what was decided. Newsflash: quiet hours or not, any time a paying guest is miserable in their room and unable to rest because of other guests, the hotel staff should be willing to either do something about the noise or accommodate the unhappy guest. I stay in hotels every other week 52 weeks a year and this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. ||This is definitely not a good hotel for anyone who shows up exhausted and needing to sleep during a business trip full of long days. Who would've thought the Red Roof Inn hotels would have better customer service than Springhill Suites -...
Read moreMale front desk worker was impolite and unfit for the assignment of customer service. Petty. Mumbled about surcharges and made a huff over not expecting so many people in one room. Admittedly, he said, the room was not prepped for all the kids. It was booked that way, however, and rather than being humble remained arrogant while handing over a blanket and sheet set. The reservation was made in the Marriott Bonvoy app and seemed to have not been honored by this location.
This wouldn't be the first time I had to manage housekeeping duties.
They don't clean rooms on stays unless longer than three days. I wasn't aware this was an extended stay Motel 6. There simply is no service. I have stayed at many Marriott properties and found this to be not true anywhere else. This location seems to have some special rules to account for lack of manpower but charging the same price. Excuses in the name of COVID. This was not addressed up front. A visit from housekeeping for a multi night stay seems a part of the hotel experience.
Signs everywhere about masking and spacing but not adhered to. Just take the signs down.
Pool was bitterly cold. Also this was the tiniest puddle of water to be called a pool. It was not draining well as water was collecting atop the floor drains. That made for a stagnant and unsafe surface.
Everything needed a scan card, even moving in the elevator. I'm not sure the crime rate in the area but this measure brings concerns.
Rooftop lounge seemed nice.
Breakfast is pitiful. Eggs were empty and not replaced. The juice machine didn't work.
Nice, clean lobby, well lit.. seems newer. The Sheetz beside the property is a winner for when you want a bit more for breakfast ...
Of all the Marriott branded properties across the country, this one, while clean, was the worst in service and general feel. It was contrary to the brand. It was a disappointment. I will seek other accomodations in the future that hold to the branding of...
Read moreOne of the most disappointing stays I've ever had and I travel frequently for my work. The place is nice and I've stayed before without issue but this time loud music started in an adjoining room at 11 PM and continued well past 4 AM. I called the front desk and no one answered so I went to the desk and no one was to be found for 30 minutes. I could've carried the entire lobby out the front door and recreated it in the parking lot before anyone came by the desk. When the guy appeared (not from the direction of the stairs or elevator) he told me he was off addressing the noise. When I returned to my room, the music was still just as loud. I called again and the operator line was busy or just rang for another 30 minutes. When this same guy answered I told him it hadn't stopped. He told me he would address it. Another 30 minutes and no change. I called again. Same no answer/busy. Finally, I get him and tell him it's still not stopped. He asked me where it was coming from? "Is it on the 2nd floor?", he asked. I said "Dude, I'm on the 5th floor. You can see that right?" He apologized and said he would address it. Again no change. I called him again and told him if he was unable to handle this, maybe he should call the cops or his manager. I then said, "Who is your manager?" as this had gotten ridiculous. HE WOULDN'T TELL ME. He promised to address it again. Nothing changed. I gave up and watched TV the rest of the night and jetted out as early as we could. I could've slept in the parking lot and got more sleep. My wife and I had a very long drive the next day and were exhausted. Thanks, SpringHill. Super...
