We stayed in Bia for three nights between 3/17 and 3/20/25. It might have been an inflated price per night due to spring break but all in, we were at almost $500 per night. I'm a Genius Level 2 member on Booking.com and as an European/American I have travelled quite a bit. For that kind of price for the treehouse "Bia" you'd expect 5-stars accommodations and amenities. When we arrived, the coffee bar wasn't stocked up, the powdered coffee creamer was hard, there was no ice tray in the freezer, the bathroom had only one roll of toilet paper for three people for three nights, and there wasn't enough body soap in the shower to last three nights for three people. I texted the hosts for additional items. They dropped by and gave us more items. Thank you. I did appreciate that. However, this should not even occur if you advertise the property as such, i.e. a "luxury" treehouse. In addition, they're audacious enough to charge approximately $100 for an extra person. Moving on. There also was NO information about the surrounding area, e.g. activities, what to see, what to do, etc. You would also expect this for this much money per night. They had NOTHING! Stay tuned, there's more. One stovetop didn't work and the last night, the AC units did not work. Also, they had NO extra bedding for three nights. Strange! The photographs on their website look very fancy. Please note: They do NOT show the house directly in front of you that obstructs your view. This is false advertising and I have worked in marketing for many years. The Netflix lounge area below the house shows a small table with chairs, plants, and other decorative items in the photograph on their website. There's none of that. Again, false advertising. The clock in the kitchen didn't' work. It didn't even have a battery. Yes, those are small details that you notice for that kind of money per night. Also, again, the photograph of the upstairs loft bedroom with a view clearly shows NO house directly in front of it. These photographs do not show the true experience. The pool area had low-standing water in the pool with dirt and algae. Even though it's early in the season, the day-time temperatures were very warm. Nothing was ready / prepared. Also, you can only get to the property on a dirt road from the main road and one way takes about 15 minutes (I timed it). The road is at times very uneven and your vehicle will get very filthy. Now, if they package and market this as a secluded haven for that kind of price and you drive on a dirt road to get to your destination, it'd better be worth it! I would not recommend this to anybody! Please take my review to heart. There are so many other and better options out there. For that kind of price you can a) find a beautiful, quaint cabin on AirBnB for less (we have done that before) or b) you can enjoy a top-notch 5-star resort with wonderful service and amenities; Also, check out their Google reviews. They "only" have 92 reviews as of 3/21/25 and they're almost all 5 stars. The low number of total reviews vs. the high number of stars is suspect. I have actually done reputation management marketing as well so I know a little about it. That is why I hope you take my review to heart before you book this. The website looks fancy and packages everything nicely. I have flagged the false advertising so please take a note of it. Thank you so much!
3/29: Response to the owner's response below: We checked underneath the sink but there were no additional supplies otherwise I wouldn't have texted per my review above. We checked first before I texted for additional supplies. Moreover, there was NO additional bedding/blankets for three nights for three people. The place is not a Holiday Inn and for that price you'd expect additional bedding. There was NO additional bedding anywhere to be found! In addition, you did not mention anything about the misrepresentation in the photographs. That was not even addressed below in your response nor during the phone...

Read moreOkay, this was a tough one. Honestly, my wife and I were divided on this review. In general, I really liked our stay. The dome is well thought out and mostly well executed, but there's room for improvement. Yep, it's glamping; but here's the thing. A 5 star review happens when expectations are met or exceeded. So, I always start with: "Were my expectations realistic? Were they set by the advertisement, or something else? It's a given that the host is going to 'sell the sizzle', but did they also omit significant things?", etc. It's the fair place to start.
The dome well built, and clean, but not well maintained even though it feels pretty new. And the hot tub was perfect, and the string of backyard lighting around the deck is a nice touch, but a full 50% of the bulbs are burned out. The front door lock latch on the inside slips off. It's a simple matter to fix (I had an Allen wrench in the SUV but that's not my job) and was an annoyance I didn't expect. Then the front door shade literally fell apart the first time we adjusted it. I'm handy, so I did put that back together, but it will happen to the next guy too. Then there's the HVAC unit. After thinking I had it wrangled, but then waking to a frigid room, I reached out for the details that were missing in the instructions, and got a quick answer. Some details were still left out but I finally got it. We battled with it the whole stay. It works, well in fact, once you have the information you need. Then there's the road in. Even with an AWD SUV, my wife was not happy with the two miles of rocky and rutted dirt road we traversed to get there. I get it. It's a tricky thing when maintenance is a shared expense for multiple land owners. Again, we're back to expectations. And, she wanted more privacy between units.
That's a lot of negative for a 5 star review. But, 5 it is because 4.5 is not an option, 4 is too low IMO (though she disagrees), and in the end we really enjoyed our stay. Aside from the road, most of this is easy to fix. I hope the details mentioned get addressed so that your stay is an...
