Blue Skies Retro Resort — Hotel in Fredericksburg

If you love mid century kitsch set amongst gorgeous Texas Hill Country views, you MUST stay here. The resort is simply fabulous! From the kidney-shaped pool to the paint by numbers style mural to the pink toilet and sink to the starbursts and boomerangs galore...the details are great! You’ll adore them! 💘🌱

I stayed in a large trailer with 3 adults comfortably. There is tons of storage space and a pretty nice sized mini fridge and microwave. The little Astro turf “lawn” out front is the perfect spot to lay down a blanket and stare at the stars or the sunset with a coffee or cocktail. The stargazing here is really good! 🌌

I brought my own snacks and food along with an ice chest of ice and some plates, bowls, serving platters, utensils. The trailer has some items but not many. 🍸🍔

Take advantage of the outdoor fireplace and the propane grill. It’s such a fabulous common area that’s large enough for multiple people to enjoy at a time. Music, dancing, cheese board, cocktails, games, lawn and chairs for stargazing - what more could you want!?🌅⭐️🔥🎶

The pool is amazing and has all of the umbrellas and loungers you’ll need! Just bring sunscreen and a sunhat! The Texas sun is no joke and there isn’t much shade here. 😎

The bathrooms are such a treat! Please take advantage of the outdoor shower. 🌿🚿

Bring cameras, film, and cute outfits, if that’s your thing. The resort has an ABUNDANCE of spots for photo ops. 📸

I stayed here for a ladies weekend but I could see this place perfect for a birthday, party, couples weekend, parent/child, siblings. It really lends itself to be the perfect setting for a fabulous weekend. I’m so glad that we stayed here and can’t wait to return! 🙌🏻

We stayed at Blue Skies over Thanksgiving week with 3 families and it was an incredible time making such great memories together in this unique, FUN, comfortable, beautiful place!! We have a gaggle of kids who just died over all the details of the trailers and the bathrooms and the outdoor showers and the pool. Each trailer and accompanying private bathroom has it's own particular theme and flair. The beds are super comfy and we loved the windows looking out during sunrise and sunset. A special touch were the record players with classic albums to set up the backdrop for lounging inside the trailer or just outside in fun, patio chairs overlooking the sweeping Texas landscape.

We made FULL use of the common area with fires every night and playing games and two stepping :) and everyone hanging out listening to music and talking. We brought our own food and pizza oven and were able to make some delicious meals onsite. We did go into Fredericksburg one night for a meal...it's so close and super convenient to the property.

All in all, our stay at Blue Skies will always be something we remember, as a collective family, with so much fondness for every single part. It's apparent how much care and love Atticus and Casey put into creating this one-of-a-kind oasis. I'd absolutely recommend a get away here, especially for larger family groups. We can't wait to come back and...

My husband and I spent the weekend in the Miss Estella. It was amazing. I cannot wait to go back. The whole experience was lovely. From check in to check out everything went smoothly. It's so private and absolutely beautiful. The Miss Estella was cozy. The bed was so comfortable even for 2 people. It was quiet. The sunsets there are beautiful. The pool was so clean. I love the individual bathrooms for each Shasta. They are beautiful. Not going to lie the showers were a trip at first. But looking at the moon and the stars while listening to the music while showering was awesome.

I highly recommend sitting outside which ever Shasta you are staying in at night and just listening. I almost fell asleep out there I was so relaxed. I am back home, and I miss it so much. I want to be back at the Miss Estella. Whoever owns this place and manages it has done so much to make this an easy, relaxing and lovely place. Their attention to detail is...
