Breezy Hills Cottages, LLC — Hotel in Fredericksburg

While the property is beautiful, our experience was ruined by the owner's unprofessional behavior. As we were packing up to leave, he approached us without introducing himself and aggressively reprimanded us for pulling past the designated driveway. Instead of allowing us to correct the mistake, he resorted to cursing, calling us lazy, and labeling the situation "ridiculous." This all was met with complete stunned silence from me and my husband, while our two toddlers were in the car.

What made this even more disappointing was that we had just written a glowing note in the guest book. His hostility made us feel so unwelcome that we left immediately afterward. There was no signage or prior communication about this rule, yet we were treated as though we had intentionally done something wrong.

Terrible business practices—future guests should tread carefully and ensure every detail is perfect to avoid giving the owner a reason to find fault. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend...

No heat. Advise management regarding lack of heat and was told "the unit does not have any heating option." Only thermostat provided was for the wall mounted AC unit. Facility was advertise as has having central heat and air...lack of transparency! On our second night, the temp got down to 26F... very dangerous if you have any underlining medical condition. Have you ever stayed at a place that didn’t meet your expectations. Well this was not the case for me and my wife. It actually exceeded my expectations. Very relaxing place. Lots of wildlife to see. Our view at the Moonlight cottage was outstanding. There is not a TV but I didn’t miss it at all. If your a bird nerd like me, there were plenty of them to watch. Many variety of birds. Lots of peace and quiet. It did my soul good. Thanks Paul....
