This is an amazing bed & breakfast. If you have never been here you are missing out on life, and seriously. We had an amazing time here. This is off the beaten path in Fredericksburg. Very secluded cottage. We stayed in the Garden Cottage. There is so many little details that every time we turned around either inside the house or outside the house, we saw something we didn’t see before. This place has a hot tub, very comfortable soft bed, awesome amenities, they stock the fridge with eggs, bacon, biscuits, milk, orange juice, condiments, you can also make some pioneer biscuits and gravy, etc. They have a couple of cats who will greet you on the porch (Olive, Biscuit, and Midnight). They have a lot of signs with quotes on them, a lot of them are funny. We stayed for 4 days. I wish we could have stayed longer. We came close to seeing if we could book for one more day. We were able to enjoy visiting Fredericksburg (wineries, Main St, museums, food, parks, etc.). The only recommendation I have for guests is to watch out for the white tail deer on the back roads to the cottage, especially if you are driving in at night. The closest restaurant that was open while we were there on the week days was Alamo Springs (about 4 miles) in which they have really good burgers there. Other than that it’s about 10-20 miles to other restaurants and stores. We had an amazing time here and look forward to planning another trip here in the future. Thank you so much Jesse and Linda for your amazing hospitality and sharing a little piece of...
Read moreMy husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our fifth anniversary at the Secret Hideaway. The home was exactly what we wanted - and desperately needed - to recharge our batteries. It was beautifully decorated and clean. And as others have mentioned, it includes many thoughtful details - like fresh milk and eggs, coffee, citronella candles and notes from Linda. I especially loved reading about the history of Alamo Springs and caring for Mr. Pita and Ms. Stripes!||When we arrived on our first day, the lights were on, music was playing and the “fireplace” was aglow. Motel 6 ain’t got nothing on this place! To top it off, the views from the Secret Hideaway are incredible. Seriously, y’all, I could sit on that back porch for hours. And did I mention there’s a hot tub?!?!||If you’re wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, book this place now. You won’t be...
Read moreBooked for anniversary weekend. I love the place. The only disappointment was Jesse said he'd put a complimentary bottle of wine in the room for us since we were celebrating our anniversary. But there was no wine wish I would have known I wanted to sit in the hot tub at night & look at the stars and drink some wine but that's okay we had some good beer on hand. A lot of deer come around. The location is great! Close to luckenbach there's an Alamo Cafe around the corner, it has good food and drinks. The winding back country roads are beautiful. You will run into some history, animal life, there's a little town believe it's called Bankersmith Tx you'll pass it in the blink of an eye but there's a little restaurant venue/bar there that looks cute maybe stop in on Sunday and check it out. Anyhow I highly...
