The Meadow by HoneyTree — Hotel in Fredericksburg

My husband and I and our four children booked Blue Sage No. 1 and No. 2 for a long weekend getaway. We used No. 1 as our "family" cabin and lodged at this cabin, and used the A-Frame No. 2 as our "special day" cabin. Both were absolutely PERFECT and absolutely immaculate upon entering. All of the details were so thoughtful. Clear instructions for wifi, etc, and an abundance of amenities, and a short 15 minute drive to the heart of Fredericksburg. No. 1 was perfectly spacious for our family of six. The kids loved staying in the bunk room and the master suite upstairs was divine. The private little balcony was a nice touch for our evening wind-down after the kids were in bed. No. 2 was so, so special. The views from the large windows were incredible. The property was quiet, serene and just gorgeous. The kids loved exploring the porch area under the stairs and swinging on the day bed swing. All six of us agreed - we didn't want to leave! The cabins were lovely, a very quiet getaway. I won't return due to the $110 cleaning fee. A cost of doing business added to the cost of the cabin itself is a little excessive. As a nurse I would not tell a patient "I have your medication, but you are going to have to pay me a $50 fee to get it". I find it a little ridiculous. Honey Tree Farms is a plot of land with a collection of small (but not too small, still spacious and super comfortable) hand-crafted lodgings that can be rented on AirBNB. Each one of the places is unique and every one of them is amazing. The owners are awesome and the craftsmanship is incredible. It's only ten minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, so it's far enough out to experience nature, but not so far that you can't access civilization. A wonderful place...
