I absolutely LOVED this place!! My fiancé took me for my birthday surprise & it was an amazing experience!! The woman who owns the place will give you her personal number to text her at anytime if you need something!! They are so incredibly nice there!! They have a locked gate that you get a personal number to get in, so that definitely made me feel safe!! They have water access to two different locations on their camp ground!! One is a swimming hole type thing & the other is basically a mini Johnson’s shut ins deal. It is so beautiful!! They have campers, buses, etc that each one is done in a different theme!! We stayed in the Tipsy Gypsy & it was so neat! It is small, so only for 2 people but they have a full new shower/toilet house along with a full outside kitchen to cook at with tables to eat at & even a fire pit & chairs! But the absolute best part was the COPPER TUB!! That thing is SO BIG!! It definitely was the highlight of the stay!! In each place they have a book that tells you about the places to eat nearby, coffee shops, or grocery stores if you’re needing to grab something. But this is still camping, so make sure to bring your food, snacks, drinks, etc. Even though we didn’t bring all those things because we ate before we came. Also, if going in the water you’ll need some type of water shoes to walk in, swimming suit, or any swim stuff.
My only complains = They did have coffee for us in the one we stayed in but it wasn’t the best. For how much we spent to stay here I would have at least expected a good cup of coffee in the morning. I think the coffee grinds were stale possibly or maybe just not the kind I drink? At any rate, I think investing in a K-cup machine would do wonders for people staying!! Along with crème & sugar. But that’s just because I’m the type that needs coffee the minute my eyes open lol. My only other complaint is that the one we stayed in definitely needed a good power wash on the backside as well as it just seemed as if it needed some upgrades.
Would definitely love to come again & stay in a different themed...
Read moreAwesome Adventures in Glamping at Fredrock. We had a group of ladies from the Dallas area meet friends for 4 days of glamping fun.
What an amazing experience Misty has created. There are several different Glampers available. All are totally unique. What creativity. This facility has thought of everything. Clean fresh showers are available. Lovely bedding. Firepits are available for Glamping and camping sites. They have really comfortable beds in every glamper. I stayed in Daisy. She is the yellow, orange 70's style trailer glamper. Daisy is cool, comfy, fun and in a perfect location.
I've also posted pics of the fabulous Tipsy Gypsy Wagon. This glamper is a retreat unto itself. Easy river access and a wonderful outdoor kitchen and new fresh bathroom. I wanted to jump into the stunning copper bathtub. Bubbles and abundant butterflies are provided.
I did not get to experience the tee pee glamping but they are amazing.
Seven Mile Creek is days of fun & exploring. Several springs feed this beautiful creek. It is cool and crystal clear. The little fish and crabs swim all around you while lazing in the water. Bring water shoes.
Other than a 15 mile run to Walmart in Fredricktown, we had no need to leave the park. It is a wonderful time to unplug and get back to nature while living in luxury.
This facility has an awesome host. Any little question or issue was immediately resolved.
I am already looking forward to my next visit. This facility is perfect for children who love exploring or a couple looking for an intimate out of the ordinary experience. Definitely a 5☆☆☆☆☆ host ...
Read moreWe tent camped at one of the primitive sites, and it was a truly beautiful experience—shady, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The waterway, 12 Mile Creek, is a hidden gem with some of the best gravel bars around. Being a private campground with limited availability, it offers just the right number of campers—no noisy or out-of-control crowds.
I will mention that you will hear some road noise due to being close to US-67. I was in a tent so that makes it a little more apparent. This did not keep me awake but something to be aware of and completely out of the control of the owners.
We brought our 1970 Jeepster Commando. It fit right in with this place and made the camp stay even more of an outdoor experience. No this is not an off road place but it was nice to put around on the gravel trails.
There are plenty of trails to explore and an abundance of natural beauty to enjoy. The owners are incredibly personable and kind. They met me at my site and took the time to walk me through the trails and amenities. You can tell they take great pride in maintaining this place.
In addition to the primitive campsites, they offer several iconic and unique lodging options, including Tee-Pees. The prices are very reasonable, and overall, the experience was an incredible value. I can’t wait to go back!
The scale only goes to 5 but they deserve a 6. I...
