Capt. Ernest Trigo did everything he could to get us on fish and did his best getting everything ready on a last second ordeal. However when we spoke on the phone with owner Capt. Greg that morning he said due to the weather conditions we couldn't go deep sea fishing first thing that morning and he stated that the latest he could try and take us out was 10am. Around 930am-10am he stated that it wasn't possible yet the storms had pretty much moved out further than how far we were going to go. Also we were booked to go with capt greg and we got pawned off to Ernest granted Ernest is a solid guy who is fun to be around and is very knowledgeable. However the trip was booked with capt greg, if we couldn't go deep should he have not got into one of his bay boats and took us out himself? My group felt like he didn't want to deal with us at that point and just wanted to get paid. On top of all of that we went out with Ernest and we made the best of what we could on a last second bay trip that was thrown together on a whim. That morning capt greg told us we could go on a bay trip that day or the next day and he had some openings. After Ernest took us out that day we had $600 left and wanted to go out again the next morning and try another bay trip again since we didnt have much success. Ernest said he would be more than happy to take us out again on Sunday, but Capt greg stated that he didn't have anyone available and Ernest couldn't take us after he told us he could. We drove 700 plus miles and didn't get to do what we wanted and my bachelor party fishing trip was kind of a let down and we feel capt greg didn't really care. We first met Greg several years ago while vacationing in Galveston. My first conversation with him on the phone discussing a 1/2 day jetty trip told me he was family friendly and wanted to ensure that we had a great time. We caught so many fish! About 5/6 years ago I decided to take my wife and 2 nephews deep sea fishing. A first time for all of us so I go online and researched and called probably a dozen or more charter company’s.
