My review really depends on what you're looked out of a vacation spot. There are pros and cons to this place. If you're looking for a place right on the beach with views of the Gulf and an outdoor pool, and nothing else, then this is the place for you. If you need extras, you may not like this place. We had a 2 bedroom townhouse, there were balconies in every bedroom, the master bedroom had a view of the Gulf. There were also balconies in the living room with a view of the Gulf and a balcony in the dining room. This was the best and only good thing about the place, plus a full kitchen. On the other hand, their WiFi only worked one night. I brought my Roku so that we could watch movies at night but that only happened once. I guess their bandwidth is very low and doesn't accommodate a lot of people because only late at night when everyone went to sleep was I able to watch shows on my iPad mini. As far as the TVs go, the large flat screen in the living room had static on every channel (there were not a lot of them), and if we wanted to watch TV, it hurt our eyes to do so, and you could barely see. We never tried the smaller flatscreen in the master bedroom, but the 30 year old TV in the guest bedroom didn't even have a remote and I highly doubt it worked. It didn't even face a bed, it faced the door. The bedrooms were good sized and there was plenty of closet space if you like to unpack, and there was extra linen, blankets and towels with a laundry basket. One bathroom with stand-up shower on the first floor and a second bathroom with a bathtub on the second floor. The horrible thing was all the mattresses. Our backs were killing us from the guest bed. They put two thin cheap mattresses on top of the box spring. Very strange. I tried the master bed and it was better but very hard and uncomfortable. I didn't get good sleep all week. There were no comforters on any of the beds, just the bedspread which is gross. Luckily there were some blankets in the linen closet but they were very thin. The kitchen was filthy. It didn't look filthy but everything I touched was sticky and greasy and made me sick to my stomach. Every cabinet door, everything. The living room couch was old and filthy, and completely sunken in, and of course killed my back as well. We never tried the pool and only went to the beach everyday. The other thing I didn't like is that this place is in the middle of nowhere and the nearest store is half an hour away. You're just surrounded by beach houses. There was some tiny store closer but it was like a gas station store without the gas station so we didn't bother with it. I enjoyed being right on the beach but everything else was very...
Read moreThis property is a hidden gem - its location right on a quiet stretch of beach (at least in the winter) where you can walk for miles in either direction. It is an older property that is well maintained and clean. We could see the Gulf of Mexico as well as West Bay from our balconies. There were four balconies in our 2-bedroom unit allowing for a view from any room. It was a little too cool for the pool, but it looked sparkling clean. We have been trying to exchange into this property for several years and it did not disappoint - we will be back. We love that it is dog friendly as we were able to bring our little pups with us. It is a great location for dogs as they can walk on the beach. Timeshares are designed for family to enjoy vacations together and they are part of the family. The owners are very careful about asking pet owners to cover furniture, vacuum, keep dogs on leash, etc. and I found other pet owners to be very respectful of this. ||Just a few notes - you do have to drive a good distance into Freeport or Lake Jackson to find large grocery stores, so plan accordingly. There are several convenience stores close by, some Bucee's on the way to the property, and plenty of restaurants and bars in Surfside Beach and Galveston. Also, there is a $2 toll across San Luis Pass to Galveston, but a very pretty drive. Units are equipped with basics like paper towels, bath towels and linens, soap, and cooking utensils - but bring shampoo/conditioner, laundry soap, hair dryer, beach towels, and...
Read moreSpent a week at this property, it is in a beautiful but somewhat remote location. Important things to know about this property…you have two flights of stairs just to enter the unit along with a flight up to the bedrooms, and the internet (WiFi) connectivity is very poor but I was able to maintain 5G connectivity with my cell phone. The 2-bedroom unit was clean and has pretty much everything you need for an extended stay. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, and you can walk to the beach. I enjoyed the balconies where you could enjoy the view of the ocean, and the seclusion allows you to walk for miles or drive on the beach. The living room furniture is a bit dated and could use updating. Communication with the resort and Melissa was excellent answering questions and providing information and assistance...
