We got to the hotel and the lady was kind of rude and snooty we got our keys and the password for Wi-Fi went to the room open the door and it was like I was punched in the face by a horrific smell of mold and mildew. I set my stuff down and began searching for the source of the odor which was the window it was covered in mold and mildew. Well I then went into the bathroom where I discovered tons more mold and discovered that the bathroom door did not close at all and that the toilet was backed up. I tried to get online however the password that she gave me did not work so we tried to use the telephone to call the front desk however it did not work either so we went to the front desk and she was very snooty and said that we don't need to use the password and to get on the free Wi-Fi which in turn did not work on my phone nor my iPad and I was unable to get any work done. Normally I would have complained and switched rooms immediately or found a new hotel but I figured it's my daughter and I and we're here for family and we're only going to be sleeping here. Well I noticed a bunch of stuff that was brown dripping from the mirror to the vanity which was disgusting I noticed dirty walls which was disgusting and they did not provide but four towels and one tiny bar of soap and a tiny shampoo and a tiny conditioner for a 4-day stay. And this was for two people. We were never told anything about breakfast however when we did check in they had signs up saying broken on numerous different breakfast service areas. Nobody ever told us what time breakfast was from and the girl at the front desk didn't seem to care. I stayed in Room 122 just for everybody's information I definitely would not stay in that room again if you want a bathroom door that locks don't stay in that room if you want to front door that locks do not stay in that room. If you don't want mold or mildew do not stay in that room. The day we left I had started to feel bad and I've continued to feel bad my lungs are killing me and it definitely has something to do with that...
Read moreI checked in on 9-13-24 at 5pm and checked out at 9pm. The first room I was given smelled really strong like mold and mildew. My mother in law and brother in law had a room as well that smelled similar but they decided to deal with it. I asked for a new room and they easily changed it for me. The second room we received had the same odor!! But was tolerable so we just decided to settle. We leave our bags into our room then took a walk down to the pier. Came back to the room to get ready for the night and that’s when we found A LOT!!! Of black mold around the night stand. Along with some mold in the bathtub. And the wall between the bed and the closet was splattered and dirty. I was staying there with my 3 month old baby and there was absolutely no way I was staying in a room in that condition. MOLD inches away from where my baby and myself will be sleeping for the night. I went straight to the front office to get a refund and find another hotel. But the man at the front desk was quickly upset and refused to even help me. I showed him pictures and even walked him to the room and he continued to stay upset and refuse a refund. I booked a 2 night stay and was still charged for 2 nights. I called back and they only agreed to refund one night. I was there for less than 4 hours before I found out the room was not up to any health codes to sleep in. Especially with a 3 month old baby. $96 for 4 hours and a headache from arguing with these people. NEVER EVER will I look in the direction of this place. Steer clear!!! I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole place is infested with mold that is unseen to the eye. Husband is already working on contacting the city and health department to get this place checked. If the problem was handled differently then this all could have been a...
Read moreI booked my stay at 8:35 am on the morning of my arrival with the local desk clerk - not online. I checked in at 8:45 pm. At 9:45 pm, I called the front desk to notify them that I would be checking out in the morning, and would not need the other two nites of my stay. I went to speak to the morning clerk, as instructed by the nite clerk. I explained my reasons for leaving. I spoke to the manager on duty, and explained to her as well. Her response was, "you should have read the fine print". "If you don't cancel 72 hours in advance, you don't get a refund." I explained that I had just booked my reservation roughly 24 hours earlier. She didn't care. No credit at all. I had to pay $470.00 for a really crappy room. They gave me room 103 - right in front of the handicapped parking and I had to park down past the laundromat and tote my stuff past the noisy "guests" that were taking up four parking spaces with their lawn chairs and boom boxes playing loud music till late in the night and first thing the next morning. This place definitely attracts the finer quality of guests - must have something to do with the management. Not to mention, this hotel has obviously been under water multiple times and the AC system needs to be updated. I understand company policies. I own my own business. But, I also understand that you can make exceptions IF you have any interest at all in providing some small indication of customer service, which this manager was NOT. There was no way that I was going to endure three nites at that place. I have stayed at other Choice hotels in the past and I have had really good experiences. I definitely cannot say the same...
