Wish I could give this campground 20 STARS! Called to get a last minute res. Jessica, owner, could not have been more helpful and nice! We are limping home after multiple RV issues so it was only going to be for 1 night. Getting to campground is through a residential area and past a HUGE medical complex. There are some overhanging branches, our height is 12’4” and we brushed a few. She put us in site #8 which is a river view. It’s a back in but wide and plenty long enough for our RV and motorcycle trailer (40’ total). There are several pull thru sites also. . Full hook ups are at rear of site and super easy. Excellent water quality but use a REGULATOR! Pressure like a fire hose! Site surface was level gravel. Very nice pic table and fire pit. The park is new and some things are still under construction but the pool is ready and their is a great fishing pier. The roads thru camp are gravel , easy to navigate. Unfortunately it was pouring rain when we arrived so we didn’t have a chance to go swimming. However, I walked by the pool this morning (which was being meticulously cleaned by Jessica’s hubby I think) and it is pristine with a big shallow shelf for little people to splash around on. Checked out the laundry. Immaculate with brand new washers/dryers. The entire property is clean and well maintained and lots of grassy areas to walk your dog. Entrance to the campground is gated with a code. There is wi-fi but didn’t try to use until we got ready to leave. If your travels EVER take you anywhere near Gadsden, AL, you owe it to yourself to stay here and stay more than 1 day :). It is truly a hidden gem!! Thanks Jessica and family for an awesome stay! We will be back! Sarah...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to take a trip at Tillison Bend Campground for a few days after visiting a month ago. My wife said it was love at first site. We had planned on staying 5 nights. On the day of departure, Linda said, no, no we can’t go home today. Being retired makes it easier to do what you want to. With that being said, we booked our stay for another week. We’ve enjoyed spending time around the large pool that has an adult only swim up Tiki Bar, a very large Hot Tub, fishing and kayak rentals. We enjoy walking the beautiful property taking in all the views. We also brought along our E-Bikes. We had a great time riding around the grounds. All the campsites are leveled and graveled. They provide a picnic table and fire ring for your enjoyment with each campsite. You can bring your own firewood or they provide for sale in the general store. Each site has total hook up, water, electric and septic. Several campsites have waterfront views. The bath houses and laundry room are very nice and clean. They’re clearing lots to build several Cabins for rent. If you don’t own an RV, no worries. They have 2 onsite very nice campers for rent. One sleeps up to 4 campers and the other sleeps 6. They’re also adding a Pickelball, Basketball and Tennis Courts. This is not your average campground. Tillison Bend is more like a Resort! My wife and I as well as our family are looking forward to spending many days/weeks at Tillison Bend. Before I forget let me just say, the staff are so very nice, professional and welcoming. Thank you Jessica, Jan, Cynthia and Aubrey for being so kind to my wife and I during our stay. Forever Campers at Tillison Bend Campground! Ronald and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Tillison Bend Campground, and I can confidently say it was one of the best camping experiences I've ever had! Nestled along the serene banks of a picturesque river, this campground offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and modern amenities.
From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff welcomed us with open arms, providing helpful information about the campground and surrounding attractions. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, allowing us to set up our campsite quickly and start enjoying the great outdoors.
The campground itself is well-maintained, with spacious, clean sites that offer plenty of privacy. We loved how each site was thoughtfully positioned to maximize both comfort and scenic views. The sound of the flowing river added to the tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.
One of the highlights of our stay was the abundance of activities available. We spent our days biking the nearby trails, fishing in the river, and even trying our hand at kayaking.
The facilities were top-notch, with clean restrooms and showers that were well-stocked and well-kept. The picnic areas and fire pits at each site made it easy to enjoy meals outdoors, and we loved roasting marshmallows under the stars.
Overall, Tillison Bend Campground is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of outdoor adventure and relaxation. Whether you're a seasoned camper or a family looking for a weekend getaway, this campground has something for everyone. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable experience!...
