To the owner Jason Montana is my brother we are traveling cross country together. We never complained about price just asked politely about options available at koa campgrounds. You have sign out front advertising the 10% member discount even. The problem was a negative bad attitude and your very consistent lying that was easy to see and your lack of responsibility for your error and putting it on other campers your patrons. But I sure you have never been wrong or just made a mistake you can own up to. We have prayed that everything works out for you and your beautiful campground. I know from what you said about the money you invested it must be stressful. Rather than lying and telling people to leave. You could just say the rate I have listed is the best I can offer. We loved the facility just suck when power treats guests like criminals when they have made a mistake.

I’ll start by saying this koa is very nicely updated and clean. Now for our stay experience unfortunately not even close to meeting minimum standards. My family and I are traveling cross country had a late check in at this location the check in envelopes that where available already had campers in the sites. We called the # for assistance and no answer and voice mail not set up. We asked around camp ground if anybody n knew where to find host so we could get checked in. Nobody knew how to reach whoever was in charge. We decided to set up in an empty site and figured we would settle up first thing in the morning when the office opened at 9am. While setting up the owner shows up at site and started by saying “ you haven’t registered you can’t be here with registering. I say we tried there where no envelopes for sites other then the ones with campers already in them and we called multiple times the # available to try and figure this out and thought we could just reach you in the morning. Told him I happy to walk up and get registered right now. He walked me to after hour check in box where he had changed to envelopes for check in to match the empty sites already then blamed the issue on other campers saying they took all the envelops and returned them later while the ones that where originally in the box are now gone. He also lied about where his property was as my kiddos where catching fire flies while we set up and he said they should be over there come morning we find it is his property. When asked about standard KOA member discount I don’t have to offer that. We also asked about Veteran discount as I’m a disabled veteran. I know I’m owed nothing but koa does offer a veteran discount that each individual koa can choose to offer or not. His response was I don’t care I don’t give discount if you don’t like it there is a campground 5 mile down the road leave. He also proceed to inform me how I know nothing of the cost to run a camp ground and how much he has spent to update the campground and what he has to pay his employees and hour. The experience was very saddening we put in every effort possible and the owner treated us as if we where criminals attempting to steal the camp site...

The tent site was very nice - flat, with enough parking space, a nice picnic table, and electricity available. One (very minor) quibble was that it's butted right up against the children's play area and kind of out in the open - I'd have preferred a little more privacy. But it was easy to get to, and for a quick overnight, served what I needed. The camp store had some things I needed, and seemed well-stocked; I was even able to buy a nice breakfast and coffee before getting back on the road. I should have bought firewood while checking in at the office before closing - there was no self-service firewood available, which might have made my stay even better. The restroom was very clean and accessible.

I was worried that my late arrival would be an issue, but the young lady that checked me in right before the office closed was very kind, patient, and helpful. In the morning, staff were busy keeping things clean, and were very friendly.

Location was very easy to find, right down the road from the interstate, with easy access to get back on in the morning.

Overall, I was very happy with my stay here, and...

Very tidy! A well kept campground. The store is nicely stocked, lovely wood carvings. What a beautiful place for children: safe, fun, and many activities to occupy their time. The pool is well maintained. The restrooms are top notch. We loved that the laundry also had arcade games (free) and again very well kept. Each area was definitely gone over by the team here and it shows. Everyone was polite and we met a great family 😁...who just amplified the fun and good moments. Their daughter was a spitfire and her high spirit was welcomed by our family. 😆 Disk golf was fun as was the mini golf and the trail is well kept. Dog bins and bags along the way with nice dog park. Volley ball, hatchet throwing and more....Overall a good experience. Even if I did lock us out of the camper and exploded a soda inside the camper lol I'm a walking caution sign....😜....we each had fun in our family and got to spend quality time together. Thank you Mark and everyone for helping...

Clean, well-maintained, and family friendly! This campground has loads of amenities, such as a spotless laundry room, extremely clean bathrooms, jumping pad, pool, mini golf, fishing pond, cabins to rent, a nature trail, patios and pergolas, high speed internet, and more! This is a wonderful campground, especially for families! They have organized events (such as this week, trick or treating, a site decoration contest, pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, bingo, and more!) and they have quiet hours starting at 10 PM which allowed us to relax at the campfire/enjoy the peace and quiet of the campground. This campground is extremely well maintained and those who maintain the campground truly CARE about you and this site. Definitely check out the KOA in Knoxville, IL!

Best campground I have ever stayed at! All of the facilities were spotless—cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground, wonderful laundry facilities, and the grounds itself are meticulously maintained. There are so many fun activities for kids to do—such as a large jumping pad, a pool, mini golf, and more. There are fun activities scheduled (we had a pumpkin carving contest, a costume contest, bingo, and more!). The nature trail on the grounds is gorgeous—with a beautiful pond as well. The campground store is very reasonably priced, and the site we stayed at had a large concrete patio, built in firepit, and pergola. There is also high-speed internet available! If you are looking for a campground, definitely come to the KOA in Knoxville, IL. :)

Big beautiful trees for a shady camp. Clean campground, well kept landscaping, clean laundry, gravel drives and sites. Gravel is a little dusty, it's been ground to dust in some spots making for a dusty campsite. This is like a 3-star hotel. Clean, safe, good service. I give it 5 stars because it met my expectations, which was not Glamping. BTW, the freeway is less than a mile away, I could hear the subtle roar all the time but it was tolerable. I slept well with earplugs (as I always do) $39/night, great wifi and AT&T LTE.
