Well, I would have given a 5 star rating because I had stayed 2 nights last weekend and the hotel itself was very nice and clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating, it was extremely affordable for a two night stay in a room with two beds I paid less than any other comparable hotels in the surrounding area. The one complaint I did have was the fact that the indoor swimming pool was not open at the time of my stay. Other than that I honestly didn't have any other complaints or issues regarding my stay. The reason I am giving such a poor rating and bad review came into play after I had checked out of the hotel. Later that day I noticed there were additional charges from Sleep Inn & Suites posted to my card, totally $400!! That's not including what I had paid for my actual stay either!! All together my card was charged almost $600!! When I had tried to call the Hotel to inquire about the charges I was told I would have to call back when one if the managers are on duty because there was NOTHING she could do, nor could she even answer any of my questions. The next day while I was at work I missed a call from somebody from the hotel who had left me a voicemail stating my card was charged the $400 for cleaning costs and because of damages to the bed sheets and blanket. She had said there was some kind of red stain on one of the beds, so I was charged the additional $400 to cover the cost of removing that "stain"!! Again I tried calling back literally within 20 minutes of the missed called and voicemail, but yet again was informed nobody was there that could assist me!! I have since attempted to actually get to speak to someone about this, and each time I call there just so happens to be no mangers working at those times!! Let me inform you here what that "red stain" was... my 1 1/2 year old son had drank some red juice the night before we checked out, an then that next morning when he woke up he had spit up a little bit on the bed, which was in fact red and it did leave a small red spot on one of the beds. I do apologize for this, but the spot was honestly a small spot, and it was just the one spot, so I truly didn't think anything about it... or at least not that this little spot of red spit up from my young child would ever have cost me $400!! Please explain to me how cleaning one set of sheets and blankets could possibly cost me more than the entire room did for two nights..!?!? That is why I am only giving 1 star, because $400 is a ridiculous amount of money to charge a mother because her child spit up a little bit!! Also because I have attempted to call the hotel to speak with someone regarding this matter, but for whatever reason I have yet to get the chance to speak with someone who can actually assist me!! I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, and I recommend nobody else does either, unless your okay with unnecessary charges for amounts that are also extremely unnecessary and for far more than what is needed, and have your hard earned money taken from you without warning, an then not be given a true explanation or be able to speak with someone...
Read moreWe are on our way back from the Amish country down by Millersburg Ohio and did some golfing and shopping and eating of course and wanted to get back towards Michigan. I had start so we made a decision to come here instead of going to Belleville which has a splash choice, comfort inn, and the quality inn, which looked OK and we eat dinner at the Black Dog Tavern by the golf course, which was awful by the way, and this was rated much better so it actually worked out really good. The rumors knew the beds were fantastic and the shower stalls probably the best. I’ve ever had an a choice property. The view at the back of a cornfield makes it nice and quiet no noise. He slept good Preston three nights probably so I’m gonna give us another five star. It is a fairly new property there were not many people here last night so we were on the fourth floor Look like a nice little small kidney shaped pool, but no hot tub. I assume the breakfast will be your typical choice fake eggs||The girl that took me and was very nice. Gave me a couple pure leaf iced teas. No charge just offered them to me, which we love which were worth almost 5 dollars And the room was 103 out the door. Funny thing is on the choice website. The price was 104+ tax but when I got on that when I clicked on that it said $91 plus tax for the members I would’ve advertised at $91 instead of the 104 so I don’t know who search those pricing on the website but I would change if I were you to draw more attention||Very easy on and off Oil Rd., #30 going west towards Finley so I would not hesitate to stop here again thank...
Read moreWe were in the area for a friend's wedding in a remote area between Mansfield, Lexington, and Galion. The Sleep Inn (when viewing the reviews) had easily the best review vs. cost. Citing cleanliness, the hotel was very clean, which was our primary object. In addition, on our stay, the nightly rate was in the $120 per night range, which was very affordable compared to local hotels in the $140-200 per night range. ||Amenities: The Sleep Inn offered (for the King Room) a standard (and comfortable) King bed, nightstands with charging for mobile devices, decent -sized TVs, and a small 'college' refrigerator, which was perfect for our needs. ||The bathrooms consisted of shower only, but were complimented by good-quality toiletries. Good choice on Sandalwood (the soap 'flavor' that we had on our stay). ||The breakfast was a hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, potatoes, waffles, as well as standard continental faire of bagels, fruit, toast, yogurt, etc. I am a tea drinker and loved the tea selection. Though there were 4-5 options, the main 3 were great-quality teas, and for those who want traditional, they included Lipton, etc. for brands 4 and 5. ||In addition, though we didn't take advantage of them, the site had a swimming pool. This looked inviting, but with helping in set-up for the wedding, then tear-down, we were too tired to try it out. ||Other perk - there's a 24-hour convenience store next door to the property with decent beer, wine, sports drink selection, as well as any 'grab and go' items that you might need for a 1 or...
