WOW!!! The property and the woods are just gorgeous! You can see all of the work the owner and team have put in to make everyone’s stay amazing! We stayed in one of the cabins. My husband and I nicknamed this place 5 star camping! You seriously only have to bring what you would to a hotel and maybe something to cook over the fire for dinner. I felt relaxed from the moment I checked in to the moment we left. We were there from a Thurs night to Sun. We only left once to get more food for dinner, otherwise I don’t think we would have left! They offer golf cart rides or utility wagons to get your supplies in and out. I read a whole book, napped, we burned through so much fire wood. The cabins were so comfortable. The beds and linens were great, there was an AC unit for the really hot days. There was a fan, fire starters, lighters, locker for storage and a foot locker as well. A coat rack, lanterns, umbrellas, the cooler was stocked with Ice and lasted all weekend while we were there. There were twinkle lights that lit the pathways at night and made the whole place even more magical! We ordered the charcuterie board, and it was soooo yummy! They had left fresh towels and wash clothes, bug spray, a cast iron firepit grill grate and cooking utensils. Then there was a hammock, two swings on the deck and two Adirondack chairs. The Bathroom, this gets another WOW! Anyone who has spent any time at a campground bathroom knows how gross they can be with bugs and dirt from other campers. This bathroom is cleaned often, has soft jazz playing, bamboo mats near the shower, high end shampoo, conditioner and shower gel even a make up station with face cleaning wipes and a hair dryer! Best part, no bugs or dirt!!! Outside there was an option for filtered water. Even a large utility sink all decked out with cleaning supplies for you to wash your camp dishes if you need to. For breakfast they had so many pastry options. They grilled ham/cheese croissants and pigs and a blanket. They warmed up cinnamon rolls. There was fresh coffee and tea. All of the baked goods were amazing and I think from a local bakery. All day long there were options of fresh fruit, other pastry items, at night there were smore packs. There was a Pantry shed which offered anything you could have forgotten or didn’t feel like packing. There was jiffy popcorn, variety of seasonings, hot chocolate, cookware, games, literally everything! They have all of the outdoor games, cornhole, connect four, etc. Oh and there are chickens on site offering up fresh eggs and cute rabbits who wonder in and out of their enclosure. They were so cute to just watch. We have already booked our spot in October!!! I...

The Woods, luxury camping, is a magical place located 15 minutes Saugatuck. I love exploring dog friendly places so when I came across The Woods, I was inquired.

The website is easy! I was able to navigate through to find the type of cabin I wanted (3 options) and the site location. If you need help or have questions, reaching out to The Woods was easy. I sent a message via the contact form and got an email back the same day.

For our reservation, we went with an A frame (site 10). The location was great. We were close to the community area and the washroom. Our location was so cute. It felt private with our own fire pit, hammock, and chairs. Plus, you literally have everything at your fingertips including fire wood and a lighter to get your fire started.

There are different types of cabins. We selected the A frame because of the doors and air conditioning. Price varies depending on your options.

We stayed one night. I would definitely stay longer next time. We were able to enjoy the community area at night for s'mores and breakfast in the morning. The breakfast selection is great! Fresh farm eggs that you can cook on a fire pit, donuts, muffins, pastries, pigs in a blanket, ham and cheese croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, and tea. I think I got it all!

It was nice being in a higher end camping place because we got to re-connect with nature, stay off social media/TV, and enjoy each other and the people we met at the camp grounds too.

The owner didn't miss anything. The attention to detail is out of this world. She is so lovely! She met us at our truck, pulled us via golf cart to our cabin, and saw her throughout our time at The Woods.

This is an adult only (18+) place, but dogs of all sizes are welcome (extra fee). There cancellation policy is strict, so if you need flexibility I would make sure you understand the policy which states "If you need to cancel your booking, please do so at least 60 days prior to your arrival to receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 60 days of the arrival date will result in the forfeiture of up to 100% of total booking charge. All cancellations are subject to a $50 cancellation fee if made more than 24 hours after booking."

We booked the week before to confirm we didn't have any conflicts. Worked out great for us! Thanks for an amazing weekend! Looking forward to...

Went to The Woods on a weekend getaway for me and my girlfriend’s anniversary. The experience was phenomenal. We got there at 3pm which is an hour earlier than the regular check in with no heads up. We walked up the path a bit and found a hand written card that welcomed us along with a cooler full of waters and other drinks. The owner, Jacqueline, greeted us and made accommodations for us so we could get into our cabin early. She gave us a ride to our cabin in her golf cart and there were wagons to help pull our luggage. She also gave us her number in the card in case we wanted a ride to and from the parking lot (the walk isn’t too bad maybe a 8-10 minute walk). When we got to the cabin, they had a chalk board and a banner above the bed (very comfortable) that said “Happy Anniversary” along with a chilled bottle of sparkling lemonade (good tequila mixer). The room was very aesthetically pleasing along with our surroundings outside. We had our own campfire, a hammock, plenty of firewood, fire starters, lighters and they even provided us with bug spray. We also had our own Yeti cooler filled with ice and water bottles. I decided to get the cabin with AC which I would highly recommend. The bathhouse is also very clean, decorated nicely, and a close walk. The showers are private as well. Breakfast in the morning was extremely tasty with fresh eggs from the chickens on the property, pastries, cold brew coffee (very tasty), and more. The surrounding cities and beaches were great. Lots of things to do and great food. Jacqueline recommended some good food spots which were all hits. “The Pantry” in the center of the campgrounds provides you with cast iron skillets, over the fire popcorn, seasonings, utensils, board games, basically anything you would need for camping. Knowing this had just recently opened, I was slightly hesitant to pay the price not knowing exactly how it would be, but after being here, I would say it was well worth it and maybe even more. The attention to detail everywhere you go, all the amenities, and the kind, hard working staff are well worth the price. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway....
