I have never experienced such wonderful people in my life. They make you feel at home and if you need anything, they will help you out anyway they can. The breakfast is amazing as well. 10 stars! If you're staying with them while riding the Hatfield McCoy warrior system, ask for instructions on how to get to the dam. (See pictures) Its a beautiful spot off the trail system. Bottom line is this: 1. Great place to stay 2. Feels like home 3. Very close to trail head 4. Plenty of parking (even if you have a 30ft trailer) 5. Great food! Oh and Eva is an adorable little girl with a great big heart! Also a special thanks to the bear lady (I'm so sorry I forgot your name but you know who you are!) who used her spare time after work to take us on an adventure! Final thoughts: If you don't post a 5 star review after staying here, you should probably see a neurologist. Thank you for a great time!

I recently led a missions team to McDowell County and we needed a place to stay. Needless to say there aren't many options in the county. Sandi and Tony came through with not just supplying us with comfortable rooms and got breakfast, but they also provided us with outreach opportunities in the community. The rooms were perfect for what we need. Sandi and Tony treated us as if we were lifelong friends. It was an excellent stay

Gary, WV's best lodging choice for ATV travelers! The interior is exquisitely decorated in rustic and charmingly sophisticated manners. The hosts are warm and friendly and serve an amazing country breakfast. If you're looking to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails in McDowell County, you should definitely stay here. Plus, there is art for sale by famed WV artist Tom Acosta, the ONLY location in the area to offer his local art.

ATTENTION ATV/UTV RIDERS If you are looking for the perfect place to stay while riding the Hatfield McCoy Warrior Trail system or you feel like taking an adventure and want to experience some of the “Outlaw” trails Evas house is the place to stay while away from home! After getting a hot shower and a good nights rest on a comfortable clean bed you will wake up to a delicious home cooked breakfast to prepare you for a day of UTV/ATV riding. They have maps for the Hatfield-McCoy trails and can even help you with directions to see some other amazing landmarks in the area. After a long day of riding our UTV we returned back to Evas house where they had a home cooked dinner waiting (don’t worry if you miss dinner time Mrs. Sandie will keep it warm until you get there)! The rooms are clean and the food is delicious but the best part of it all is the owners hospitality. Mrs. Sandie and Mr. Tony are truly one of a kind and you couldn’t ask for better people. Do yourself a favor and book your reservations, pack up your ATV/UTV and go see what I’m...

Best decision I made for our trip to southern WV! I wanted to reconnect w/the area as my dad was born in War and we used to make trips from the Pittsburgh area to War, Welch, Newhall to visit family when I was young. Dad has passed as have most of his siblings and if you're familiar w/the area, you know that it can be tricky to find accurate genealogy information. Figured I would check it out, ask a few questions, see what I remember, etc. Also, since I was dragging poor hubby with me, we also planned some ATV riding and sightseeing (historical and scenic). Our hosts at Eva's were fabulous...giving us great info and tips...the suggestion to stop at the War Coffee Shoppe made my whole trip! Miss Orbie was a wealth of info! Add in the beautiful landscape, the warmth and friendly vibe from our hosts (felt kinda like family!)...oh, and don't forget the food! You get the picture! We will definitely come back to the area and we will definitely try to stay again at...

Oh my goodness! Where to begin? Sandi & Tony have turned a beautiful turn of the century WV Miners rooming house into a spacious Bed & Breakfast. The minute Ken and I walked in we felt as if we were "home". We felt more like family than guests! Even when the house is full the family atmosphere does not dissipate in fact it just feels like our family had grown! Whether you are there for the trails or just a get away; I highly recommend you stay at Eva's! You will not be disappointed! Both Tony and Sandi are very knowledgeable not only the history of the house but also the beautiful Mountain region and of course antiques! Which the house is full of beautiful timeless treasures. The house is clean as is each room. Sandi is a wonderful cook as well! Do not leave before you have had Sandi's biscuits and gravy! OMG to die for!! Ken and I have been twice now and already miss them and plan to...
