ATTENTION ATV/UTV RIDERS If you are looking for the perfect place to stay while riding the Hatfield McCoy Warrior Trail system or you feel like taking an adventure and want to experience some of the “Outlaw” trails Evas house is the place to stay while away from home! After getting a hot shower and a good nights rest on a comfortable clean bed you will wake up to a delicious home cooked breakfast to prepare you for a day of UTV/ATV riding. They have maps for the Hatfield-McCoy trails and can even help you with directions to see some other amazing landmarks in the area. After a long day of riding our UTV we returned back to Evas house where they had a home cooked dinner waiting (don’t worry if you miss dinner time Mrs. Sandie will keep it warm until you get there)! The rooms are clean and the food is delicious but the best part of it all is the owners hospitality. Mrs. Sandie and Mr. Tony are truly one of a kind and you couldn’t ask for better people. Do yourself a favor and book your reservations, pack up your ATV/UTV and go see what I’m...
Read moreBest decision I made for our trip to southern WV! I wanted to reconnect w/the area as my dad was born in War and we used to make trips from the Pittsburgh area to War, Welch, Newhall to visit family when I was young. Dad has passed as have most of his siblings and if you're familiar w/the area, you know that it can be tricky to find accurate genealogy information. Figured I would check it out, ask a few questions, see what I remember, etc. Also, since I was dragging poor hubby with me, we also planned some ATV riding and sightseeing (historical and scenic). Our hosts at Eva's were fabulous...giving us great info and tips...the suggestion to stop at the War Coffee Shoppe made my whole trip! Miss Orbie was a wealth of info! Add in the beautiful landscape, the warmth and friendly vibe from our hosts (felt kinda like family!)...oh, and don't forget the food! You get the picture! We will definitely come back to the area and we will definitely try to stay again at...
Read moreOh my goodness! Where to begin? Sandi & Tony have turned a beautiful turn of the century WV Miners rooming house into a spacious Bed & Breakfast. The minute Ken and I walked in we felt as if we were "home". We felt more like family than guests! Even when the house is full the family atmosphere does not dissipate in fact it just feels like our family had grown! Whether you are there for the trails or just a get away; I highly recommend you stay at Eva's! You will not be disappointed! Both Tony and Sandi are very knowledgeable not only the history of the house but also the beautiful Mountain region and of course antiques! Which the house is full of beautiful timeless treasures. The house is clean as is each room. Sandi is a wonderful cook as well! Do not leave before you have had Sandi's biscuits and gravy! OMG to die for!! Ken and I have been twice now and already miss them and plan to...
