Getaway Mountain Lodge — Hotel in Gatlinburg

When first arriving the cabin was not cleaned. The only thing that appeared to have been done was bedding changed and restrooms wiped down, which I am thankful for that. The Kitchen had something spilled on stove and all the way down the front, fridge and sink in also had gunk all over. And nothing had been dusted. We called and let them know which at the time it wasn't a real big issue, we just cleaned it up. Now I will skip forward to day 3 when the upstairs air conditioner went down, it was over 100 degrees the 7 days we were there and they sent a repair man out the 2 days and then was told that the unit needed replaced and there was nothing that could be done. So we had 4 days and nights that it was 83 and up inside cabin. They said they didn't even have fans to give us. And also beware the the dryer makes the most awful noise (finger nails on chalkboard) sound. We did not get any compensation for not having air.PLEASE BE SURE AND READ ALL OF THE AGREEMENT PAPERS! We loved staying here. My first time booking a cabin and I hit the jackpot. Lots of room and a beautiful scenic place to stay.
