Would have loved for this to be a regular go to but unfortunately you do not have access to the water unless you want to walk all the way around to the other side to a secluded area on the other side of the camp grounds. All the spots right next to the water is private property to those who pay to park year round. You can not access the water at those areas. For us we have a small kid and felt very cut off from other campers. Wanted her to play with the other kids but they were on the side we were not allowed on. Otherwise manager Mike was very kind man and did well keeping place clean and neat. Most campers we met were very nice but we unfortunately impeded on their space before we knew the rules and felt very bad that we walked around not knowing we were not supposed to be there. After finding out the rules felt very awkward maybe that's on us but would have been nice to be near everyone to make it more of a social thing and not just secluded to our area. The beach for visitors was a bit muddy, weedy, and steep for our little one. Now it did storm the night we got there but unfortunately weather was not in our favor so didn't get to do much but all in all would have been perfect place to camp if the beach rules would ever to be changed would come back...

The sand was soft and I enjoyed wading in the shallows when it warmed up. The WiFi was very robust. Multiple people were streaming the Husker game at once and the picture was very clear. Perfect lake for kayaking and swimming. I was glad to have the cottonwood tree over my spot as I didn't bring a canopy. I was very comfortable sitting outside on my chair even in the middle of the day. The shower house was clean and spacious. When you said it was dog friendly, you really meant it. Everyone had treats for my dog, Rowdy, and wanted to pet him. He enjoyed himself so much that he napped most of the afternoon when we got home. He was one...
