The BarnwooD Inn — Hotel in Gerster

Well I wanted to write a nice review for the sweet young couple that owns this place, but it seems others have already said pretty much everything I was going to say.||This is not the Ritz-Carlton. It's no-frills. When I arrived the gentleman owner was folding fresh towels in my room and I joked with him that I was disappointed because I'd requested the towels be folded into little swan shapes. But I'm not removing a star for that haha||Bottom line: the Barnwood Inn was clean, the bed was fine, and value was good. That's all I really need or expect for a location such as this, so I'm satisfied just with that. They have bed bugs. I only have an allergic reaction to one bite and it is from bed bugs. When they were told they said they had a machine to test for them and they were not there prior, and then said I probably had chiggers. NO! Not the case. I wonder if they are aware bed bugs aren't just in beds they can be in floors and other furniture as well. I feel they should have offered us at least half back in our rooms instead of denying it when I had bites all over me but they didn't which is a shame because besides for the bed bugs it seemed clean, well maintained and the lady at front...

Because of a late start one day when heading to Branson for a week, getting near sundown, used Trip Advisor and found this totally renovated small motel close to Hwy 13 in Humansville. Staffed by super-friendly hostess, Thai, we checked into one of the fully ADA equipped rooms that was decorated with clever and cute vintage farm ambiance.
