Our rooms thermostat & half the lights were broken, the clerk didnt explain anything except the key to our room There was no vending machine for drinks just an old snacking relic in dire need of stock. The room has a dvd player which had no cord connecting it to the tv. Without food or drink i eagerly awaited the last 50% of the nomenclature "bed and breakfast" this neglected space dared call itself. Alas. This expensive exercise in misrepresentation stayed true to form offering 2 types of cereal. Both harder and older than the matress I "slept" on prior to this heaping helping of hopelessness. There was 6 slices of sandwhich cut white bread adjacent to a half broken toaster, bedazzled with expired single servings of peanut butter or jam. For those patrons not keen on this "non-choice" there were bagels & completely frozen butter or cream cheese( i became enraged at the sight of the only thing they managed to with gusto & a thuroughness not seen yet) deciding the wash the dry , bitter taste of contempt from my mouth i opened the refridgerator labeled MILK/JUICE only to find a half empty , (or half full ...depending on your personal preference tward self-inflicted sadism) gallon of milk standing guard for the alpha & omega of all nonsensical boxes of baking soda. Apon taking a tour of the grounds i did find a sign stating the barren river was s 1min walk away. I suggest you take that walk and throw the money you intend to spend on this stayover into it.

Pulled into an empty parking lot. Had to call in. Owner had to send his wife over. She takes payment in total of $444.76 for the king suite with jacuzzi. She walks me up to the third floor. Room 301. I have begun to feel quite uneasy about things, but being my easy going self, I decide the room looks alright at first glance. Wrong. Incorrect. This was the most insane transaction of services I have ever done. The room is a stained carpet mess. She leaves, presumably back for home, and my wife and I are the ONLY ones in this dilapidated and dimly lit horror movie hotel. We, realizing the error of my ways in booking this weekend getaway, decide to investigate the property with morbid curiosity before we pull a NOPE and head out for the Comfort Inn in Cave City. See photos for the results of that exploration. Absolutely incredible. We’ve never had such an experience, and the owner-operators of this business should be forcibly removed from their positions. I’m sure the amount of code violations this property would amass would be staggering, and the experience of having $400+ dollars removed from my bank account and subsequently being left alone in this horror movie hotel was baffling, albeit humorous.

I read some bad reviews (no creamer selection in the am??) and we were a little nervous.. Turned out to be great! Rooms are a little bit dated , but the friendly service totally made up for it! Jay gave us great advice on local restaurants - checked on us twice. And was literally one of the only hotels in the area that would accommodate my family of 6 (4 kids) stay in 1 room (2 queen beds- we have a little guy and every other place wanted us to take 2 rooms). And you can't beat the price! If your looking for a cute stop over you cant beat it. We loved it and will def. Use them again on our travels through KY!

(UPDATE) Upon our leave, we were quickly notified that we had stole 2 bath towels. Back story, When we arrived we noticed we had everything but 2 bath towels. We wrote it off since we had showered earlier. Now we are being threatened by the inn keeper that if we don't make two bath towels appear then we will be charged 50$ for them. I told him they weren't there when we arrived and he said that if a came there and could find any other room without bath towels then he'd give us a night free. Anyone else find that a little strange considering he could go restock any room that might of had them missing. I think it's a common attempt to fraud decent people, maybe even a little gullible and naive sometimes, all for a little bit of extra cash. Now for the petty(out of the norm) pick-a-part. The coffee out by the front desk had old coffee stuck in the thermal, when squeezed the dried residue flowed into my cup, wrote that off. The whole setup had all his work tools and chemicals laying there beside it, wrote that off thinking that they are getting stuff done and this isn't normal. I deject that idea and favor the idea that they just don't care and have NO IDEA how to run a business. Nice but unkept, cozy but barely, a last resort here in Kentucky, they have your basic amnetities, even have a tiny refrigerator. My wife finds those absolutely adorable and I must concur. They have a simple Continental breakfast which will prepare you for your larger meal later. The setting is nice and the house looks nice from the outside, road can be noisy considering it's a highway. We stayed on the first floor and haven't found anything massively wrong about this beautiful old home besides everything. I'd almost rather just kick it at...

Let me just say that our family has been coming to this place for many many years to a family reunion in the Glasgow, KY area! We came to the Four Seasons since the early 1990’s. We had not been back in several years but recently we stayed there again for a reunion and I must say it was awful! The place is broken down, dirty, unkept! The beautiful pool was full of gravel! The deck was broken down and a bathtub and sink from one of the rooms were on the deck along with broken down air conditioners! The people running the place spoke very little English and did not understand a word we said! What the heck?? Hire someone who can speak English for crying out loud! Our room had dead bugs, had not been dusted, mold in the shower, sink was cracked! There were a few pieces of bread, maybe thee or four bagels for breakfast, no juice, fruit, yogurt, ect....This is very poor management and I gave one star because I to rate it something! DO NOT STAY THERE!! I felt like we were being watched with everything we did! Came to clean our room, we were still in there getting ready, counted our towels (as if we were going to steal them). Very poor service. Was so disappointed that such a beautiful place at one time is so poorly managed and ran down! I will never ever stay there again! So get sad! Stay away...
