We recently stayed here while we were in town for our mammoth cave tour. We stayed in one of the single bed cabins for a couple of nights.

The guy that runs the place was extremely nice and very helpful.

The reason I'm only giving a three star review however is the size of the cabin was uncomfortably small, I felt closterphobic. When we first walked into the cabin I felt like there should have been a hole in the middle of the floor to fish from. Very little room to move around, and the bathroom was even worse. You have to sit sideways on the toilet to fit and forget trying to get dressed in the bathroom.

You can tell the cabins are very old, however they do try to keep the clean and looking the best they can for the age.

The camp ground wasnt too bad , picnic tables throughout to sit at , plenty of fire pits , that's about it though.

The worst thing about the camp ground though was the people's dog who live behind the campground. Constantly barking non stop , it was beyond annoying, and the owners of the dog didn't bother to try and calm the dog down. This went on constantly the two days we stayed.

If you are looking for a cheap place just to sleep while you are in town and maybe enjoy a fire at night this might be a good choice. However if I ever go back to cave city , I'll look into other...

We were very surprised by the condition of this property due to the good reviews that we read when we booked. I do not even know where to begin with this place. There were piles of junk throughout the grounds and an old camper was parked a few feet away from our 'bunkhouse'. My family of 5 had no table to set anything on (luggage had to be placed on beds) and we did not even have a garbage can in the room. There was no coffee maker even though one was promised in the list of amenities. The bathroom (in a separate building) was grungy and did not even have soap to wash our hands. The price was comparable ($90) to the hotels down the road that included free breakfast, pools and wifi. My husband wanted to drive home that night although we had been driving all day instead of sleep there. We chose not to use the 'shower house' attached to the bathrooms (in a separate building) as there was no room to change and very dirty. In hindsight, we would have slept in our van...or driven down the road to ANY of the hotels. NOT...

What an absolute amazing diamond in the rough!! I can not say enough good about this little place!! My daughter and I stayed a weekend in a cabin here for our little off the grid nature trail getaway that we do every year together (normally with her little brother and a couple friends of theirs) this is year was special time together for just her and I, she is University bound in the fall, so we wanted to make it mother daughter time. The cabin was the cutest little thing, very clean and comfy! Perfect for the two of us. From second one Ralph the owner was very inviting and welcoming. Gave us a ton of information on the area and trail maps for us to get our hike on. We had an amazing time. Also checked up on us when we were trying to build our camp fire for our Smores (normally that's her brothers doing) to make sure we got it going. Made us feel like family the whole time there. Thank you Ralph, you truly are an amazing host!! We love this place and we plan on visiting again!! See you...

This place is SUPER fun! If you have a sense of nostalgia for the old roadside attractions, you will love the Rock Cabin Campgrounds. It is less than a 10 minute drive to Mammoth Cave National Park too. We stayed in (recently renovated) Cabin 6. I love watching all the tiny home reviews online, and this place gave us a little taste of that lifestyle. We spent all the time we could outside at the fire. Sadly, the torrential downpours kept us in our super cozy cabin for two nights. Our hosts are super helpful, and made great suggestions about the best caves to explore. We can't wait to come back. We found out this morning that this place is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These cabins were hand built from local natural stone. If you lokk at the pictures, you will see chunks of onyx in the wall. This place is fascinating!

Ralph and Lina do a great job of making this a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. We particularly liked its location on the edge of Mammoth Cave national park but also close to Cave City. We stayed in cabin #1 while friends stayed in their camper literally in our backyard. We really appreciated that set up as it's rare to find. The cabin is 100 years old but they've done a great job of adapting it with modern conveniences. Cabin #1 had 2 memory foam mattresses in the bedroom and a twin daybed with a trundle in the living room. There is WiFi, but it's spotty so this isn't the right place for you if you absolutely need WiFi access. The cabin rental was very affordable. After departing, we realized we forgot something. I called Ralph and he put it in the mail the next day.

My boyfriend and I had a great time here back in April for his first tent camping trip! Easy and flexible check in. The host Ralph was so welcoming and kind, he even helped us out with our campfire the first night. He made sure we had plenty of kindling and has campfire logs available for a great price. Super convient location, just down the road from Mammoth Cave National Park and many other attractions. Nice and quiet with beautiful stars at night and plenty of birds and other wildlife to see in the morning/during the day. The showers and bathrooms were clean with a space heater included for when it got chilly at night. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and inexpensive getaway near the national park!
