Do not stay here. DO NOT STAY HERE. I cannot stress this enough - DO NOT STAY HERE. For the same price, here are two better options within 10 minutes: 1.) Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot 2.) Comfort Suites - Lombard / Addison I am in town this week for a wedding. This hotel was booked due to price and proximity to the location. I paid over $200 for two nights. This being a 2-star hotel, I expected it to be basic: a clean room and bathroom with no frills. As an earlier reviewer mentioned, this is not the Four Seasons - I didn't expect it to be. I didn't need frills or aesthetic for my stay. However, my expectation was that paying $200 would necessitate a clean and habitable space. This is NOT a clean space. This is NOT a habitable room. I've provided some pictures that show evidence of this, but I'd like to go into more detail below in case anyone reading this far is still considering this hotel. From the moment you walk into the 2nd floor hallway, it smells like sewage, mold, and cigarettes. This does not change when you enter your room. The smell permeates the entire second floor. However, as bad as the smell was, it was the least offensive thing about this hotel. The bathroom is un-usable. There are cigarette burns on the toilet, and the room absolutely reeks of pee. The shower had not been cleaned. There was buildup on the tub that looked like dried makeup, shower products, or dried semen from whoever stayed last. The sink is also cracked in half. There are holes and scratches in the walls that appear to have mold in them (possibly a contributing factor to the smell). The furniture was wobbly, cracked, and missing large chunks of paint. The mattress cover and fitted sheet were put on our bed inside -out... upon flipping them, we heavily suspected this was because the primary side was dirty and they didn't want to clean them. The room was promised to have a microwave but did not - not a big deal but was false advertising. The fridge looked like it was picked up in a garage sale from a condemned house and did not get cold. There was a couple in the hallways having a physical altercation, screaming, and running from each other that staff did nothing about. I feel like I've been scammed. I have no problem staying in less expensive hotels - however, you are better off getting a motel with basic cleanliness than staying here. If you want to stay in a place that feels like the pictures on the website, this is not it. The only positive was the lady checking us in. She was friendly and helpful. If management sees this review, please don't blame your front desk staff for the 100s of 1-star reviews. You have 100s of 1-star reviews because you refuse to provide basic cleanliness, habitable furniture, and honest advertising. DO NOT STAY HERE.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! IT IS NOT CLEAN!! The walk to the room was very concerning. As soon as we hit the hallway of the rooms we were hit with an overwhelming smell. The best way I can describe it is an old mildewy gym. The hallways looked like they had not been vacuumed in months. There was debris on the edges of the hallway all the way. When we arrived at the back elevator (the front one is not working) we noticed how run down and dirty that was. We continued on our journey to our room as we were hoping it would be better than what we were already seeing.... Once we got to the room we noticed that the floors had not been vacuumed or swept as there was debris still on the floor. We also notice tape half stuck on the tub edge. At this point we were concerned but extremely exhausted from our travels. We ate our dinner and then went to get into the bed and saw what looked like makeup stains. At this point we were very disappointed and disgusted we grabbed our things and went downstairs. We explained our concerns to Jessica and she didn't seem to understand how dirty things are. She offered another room. We agreed and she went to the room with us. Upon entering we noticed the same dirty floors. We pointed these out and she said "I see there are a few things but we do sweep and vacuum". If there is still debris on the floor it was not properly cleaned. We then looked at the sheets and there were pink stains. Her response to that was "our laundry soap is pink and must not have rinsed out". If the sheets are not getting clean enough for the laundry soap to wash out then they are not getting rinsed enough to get rid of the bacteria and germs from other people sleeping in them. In this second room we also noticed the paint was bubbling in one of the corners and there was apparent water damage (probably where the moldy smell comes from. The was also a huge stain the the couch cushion. The second room was worse than the first. We left within an hour of arriving due to the cleanliness concerns and the management is refusing to allow a refund of our stay. We did get the reservation through Priceline and the hotel just needed to approve a refund but they are refusing. They offered us a voucher to stay a different time or to give away but.... Why would I want to or have anyone I know stay in a disgusting hotel that we left within an hour from. Absolutely horrible!!!!

Despite being skeptical about this place after reading the mixed reviews, I had to book this place just for its ideal location. The entrance is a bit old and gloomy. The receptionist(s) are fine. The first floor lobby smells of smoke despite the no smoking policy. Luckily, I was given a king room on the third floor which was decent. The bed was nice and clean, however the washroom was outdated and I was greeted by a spider when I first used it. The rooms seemed to have undergone partial renovation and still need improvements. There is no water provided in the room. The only option is a water fountain in the lobby which again, doesn’t do a great job of having cold water. The hallway can be noisy as there are some loud guests across the hall. Often times its just random lady screaming at their kids. The breakfast is the most basic one ever. Eggs, Potatoes and sausages along with the bread and cereal selection. The coffee and juice were okay-ish. I did not have the breakfast for more than 2 times in my 4-day stay. The pancake machine was a good addition tho. Would I stay here again? Probably not. It’s just that the location is very convenient for someone staying in Lombard/Glendale Heights.

Please read this whole review . If you have a large vehicle, like a charter bus (me), or a camper etc, parking and staff are willing to accommodate you. I really appreciate that! .

Very friendly service from Nick (and Amiar earlier), and understanding of the fact that I had to leave before breakfast was served. He got a few breakfast items for me before I left to take on the road. .

Very hot water in the jacizzi spa in my room, and for a reasonable price even though there are less expensive rooms. .

Inside Pool and exercise area if you are interested—can be a drawing point for a family. . There are a few maintenance issues (hallway doors, drawyer handles, etc.) to address in the building, but overall a good experience. I slept like a rock. I always do. . Thanks again!! I almost hate to but I need to add this to this review. .

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights back to back. I was treated well the first night/morning, after which I left the above review. Not so the second morning. .

With my charter bus responsibilities I needed to leave both days before their breakfast hours. Nick and Amir said they would, and accommodated me with some breakfast items before I left that first morning. .

However, on the second morning I was treated like DIRT. Whoever was on duty (he would not tell me his name) was VERY RUDE. When I asked about getting some breakfast items before I left, not only did he deny me, but he SCREAMED at me! I think he probably woke up some of the other people staying there. It was only 45 minutes before their official breakfast time started, but this RUDE JERK denied me one of the reasons I stayed there—the promise of some breakfast items early. (I am never one to call names, yet this guy fully earned the name “JERK”) .

And while there was plenty of room to park the first night, when I got there the second evening the parking lot was packed with cars. It must have been a wedding reception. But it would have been nice to at least know it was going to be so full before hand so I could have planned. It took a long time to squeeze my charter bus in and around the cars to find a parking spot. .

This hotel does have plenty of maintenance issues. The elevator was not working. I had to use the stairway. The door to the stairway was jammed closed—I had to walk around outside to open it. Some outside doors do not lock securely. There’s a big hole (soft spot) in the floor in the hallway in front of room 214. Most of the carpet throughout the hotel needs to be replaced, it is dirty and dingy. If you have allergies, you may have problems because of this. The hot tub in my room has a cheap fawcet that has been glued back together, it just needs to be replaced. Most everything needs a deep cleaning. Finding one or maybe two of these issues on any given day can be understood, but so many at the same time indicates a clear neglect of maintenance. .

While it is a cheaper hotel than most, the maintenance and cleaning issues may not be worthwhile to endure. I still paid $150.oo + per night for the jaccizi room. .

And if you get treated as disrespectfully as I did (that second morning), nothing is worth the price of that treatment. The hotel manager needs to fire this man. .

It is because of this rude treatment the second morning that I am adding to and readjusting...

We have stayed at this hotel before and upon checking in the desk clerk remembered me. It's always nice to know people remember you. It makes you feel welcome. Room is clean and the staff is amazing. Tonight 10/12/22 was absolutely insane. There were a lot of very noisy guests so I'm sure they were getting a lot of complaints from the other guests. I did complain twice, once for the noise (my daughter is autistic and in full meltdown mode from the noise) and then again as I watched one of their children throw something out the 3rd floor window that hit my car. I won't lie I kinda lost it at that point. What impressed me most was the two desk clerks (Victor on evening shift and Nick on overnight shift) maintained they're composure and professionalism throughout this whole ordeal where I would have most definitely been pulling out my hair. I watched Victor being verbally berated by these guests and them demanding change or getting in front of other people to get $5 in quarters or pay for things from the vending area, etc as well as metaphorically running around like a chicken with his head cut off to try to make everyone happy with their stay while dealing with guests. When Nick came in for his shift was when they had thrown something at my car and he immediately went outside and took pictures of my car and assumingly whatever they threw. Both of these employees were rock stars. We come to this area to visit my family from Tennessee a few times a year and I will continue to stay here as time goes on as this staff is amazing. I've dealt with daytime staff as well and unfortunately I can't remember the woman who helped me this mornings name but she made everything seamless and easy as well.

From most recent visit:

This is my go to hotel whenever I'm in the area which is about 4-5 times a year. The staff is always amazing and they are very accommodating with almost any request. Jessica, Claire, Nick, and Victor we're again absolute rockstars. The only issue during our stay was a miscommunication about having our room cleaned. It wouldn't have been an issue, I understand miscommunications happen, however the staff that I dealt with regarding this issue (Amir) was incredibly rude and condescending about the entire situation. I'm and adult I can handle that but he was incredibly rude to my children and sent my autistic child into a complete meltdown. I would not have been nearly as upset had he not been rude to my children. I talked to Jessica the morning after and she was incredibly apologetic and showed me where it had been documented and I told her I had no doubt it was documented as I had told Nick and Claire. I understand miscommunications happen and I had no problem with that. The problem was with the way Amir dealt with it. She assured me she would take to him and next time we were in to let her know and she would make sure we got a discount. If you want to go to a hotel where you will be well taken care of by the staff and not just feel like another room this is the place to stay. They treat all of their guests as friends. It's always welcoming and at this point they don't even ask my name when I come to check in. They know it. It's...
