A beautiful location to camp, very easy access to a large, sandy stretch of beach. Feels like a small-scale Lake McConaughey - it's like being at an ocean beach. The non-electric sites are hidden under a nice canopy of cottonwood trees for shade. The toilets were clean and there were plenty of hiking trails nearby. The only downside is that the non-electric sites are pretty close together, so if you need peace and quiet you may not find it here. That's how state park campgrounds are during summer, though.

No boundaries for tent sites. 3 tents encroached on our rv site, one right next to our generator. Overall, disappointed compared to our...

Tips: 🦟 Bring Mosquito and biting fly spray. 💧The campground water is clear, cold and tasty. 🐜 If you don’t like ants, this may not be the campground for you. They don’t bite though. 🗑 🚽 Try to avoid a campsite by the vault toilets or trash as they get quite smelly on a hot summer day. 🚘 One car is included per campsite. More cars have to pay the day and...
