Ok so first off. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere! It took me 30 minutes to get to a Mexican restaurant and that was the closest one. Second, I had two other friends with me and my dog. And all of us forgot to pack body wash, the only sort of soap there was a small bar of soap that I guess they expected us to use for body wash and hand soap. So my friends and I had to go 15 minutes away to get hand soap and body wash at the NEAREST dollar general, which was the only store anywhere near the hotel. Third off, the first day we stayed here we left for a few hours, I put my dog in the bathroom just incase she would tear things up, when I got back to the hotel the staff had left a note on my door saying that the housekeeper had attempted to get into the room and accidentally let my dog out. She “growled” at the house keeper when he tried to put her back and the note ended saying that because I did not put her in a crate (they NEVER told me I had to put her in a crate and how would I even fit a crate into that room?!) they were going to charge me a 15$ dollar fee per night, which is 45$ in total. Fourth off, the hotel itself is just WEIRD. While we were staying there during the nights we could hear banging from either side of the room and footsteps on the roof, we were on the top floor mind you. Constantly we would have knocks on the door but then nobody would be seen from the peep hole. And then late at night the hotel would fill up with state troopers and business men and by first light they’d all be gone. Finally, this hotel charged me on my first night and then when I checked out, I was refunded the money. But a WEEK later they finally charged me with the fee unannounced and put me in the negatives. This hotel genuinely creeped me and my friends out and we just had terrible service. Don’t stay here if you have animals. Stay here if you enjoy...
Read moreNow I have a lot of problems with this hotel so settle in, but before I get to that I would like to state the staff were kind.
(1) The beds. I have never slept on a more uncomfortable bed in my life! Woke up to joint and muscle pains every morning I was there that I had never felt before! Not only were the beds hard as rocks, but the pillows were as well! It literally felt as if they'd been stuffed with bricks! And the blankets were so thin I thought I was going to freeze even with the AC set to 70!
(2) When I stayed, I had a dog with me. Which the website said was fine, and management didn't say anything when checking in. They only charged me for having a dog after entering my room and releasing my dog from the bathroom because she "wasn't in a crate." They never said anything about a crate nor was it posted to the site.
(3) The noise. During my stay, there was an incessant knocking noise that would keep me awake. Not to mention fellow guests screaming and arguing next door. When mentioned to staff, no action was taken.
(4) The staff. While they were kind, it was impossible to ask questions or find people because they were always outside smoking or just talking. Which I understand! But please at least have someone stay inside near the front desk!
(5) Charges. Most hotels charge your card when you first get there and tack on any extra fees such as animal and cleaning fees within a few days of your stay. This hotel does things a little differently. The money wasn't drawn from my account until several days later, which okay whatever! But then the money reappeared! For a few more days! But then!! It was gone again.
(6) Location. This isn't so much a gripe so much a warning to others who wish to stay here, please make sure your gas tank is full! It is a 30 minute drive in either direction to go literally anywhere. So I hope you love driving...
Read moreThis past weekend I stayed here with my softball team. I left Saturday morning having left my AirPods on the night stand and returned Saturday with them gone. I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt so I waited until Sunday to look for them. They were reset and taken off of my iCloud account. Apple has confirmed the only way to take the AirPods off of iCloud is to reset them and attach them to a new device. The only people who had access to the room were housekeeping services. When I called the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do for me, and they were not responsible for stolen items and they had never had a problem. The woman I spoke to said that she has had "much more important" things stolen from her. I was spoken to like I was a child. All I have asked for is to speak to a manager and have not gotten a call back after a week. If I do not hear in the next week I will be getting the police involved. This company does not care that things were stolen from my room. Do not stay here if you care about your belongings. I am amazed at how little the front desk attendant cared about the situation. Not to mention their internet is so bad its embarrassing, and there is no...
